Hardcore Troubador
Read these two articles on NJ.com about Dwayne Haskins and his possible “return” back to NJ. Gotta admit I had no clue he came from NJ or had any connection to the state. The dad sounds like a real character but no denying the kid’s work ethic and talent. https://www.nj.com/giants/2019/04/heres-the-strange-conversation-i-had-with-dawyne-haskins-father-before-he-hung-up-on-me.html%3foutputType=amp https://www.nj.com/giants/2019/04/making-of-dwayne-haskins-tracing-mysterious-nj-roots-of-nfl-draft-pick-maybe-next-giants-quarterback.html Strange that he was totally unknown to the BNU schools - anyone with more insight on what (didn’t) happen there? Nolebull813
Is he NFL ready? Sometimes when you play for a great team with talent all around you, it’s easy to look good. He can just sit back and throw to 5 star receivers while being protected by his All American line. Almost all The best QBs in the game right now played for non college powers. Aaron Rodgers Drew Brees Big Ben Matt Ryan Pat Mahomes Russell Wilson Andrew Luck Nick Foles Carson Wentz Cam and Brady are exceptions

Originally started at PHS, then transferred to JC St Anthony's. Neither would let him play QB (LOL) so he left for Bullis MD. The rest is history. He went from Piscataway to St. Anthony’s in Jersey City?!?! If true that’s just insane from a football perspective.
legendsofthefall
His cousin is Jovani Haskins who starred at Bergenfield HS a few years ago (in football and hoops) and is playing TE at WVU now. He always mentions his Jersey roots in interviews even though he went to HS in MD.

Cal was strong when Aaron Rodgers was there as well. One of the best offensive lines in college football at the time. Carson Wentz played with better talent at NDSU than his opponents had.
