To start with look at population. Cali near 40 mil Alabama less than 5 mil. National titles Cal 78,03 Alabama 78,79,92,09,10,11,12,15 Ala had 4 times the titles and 8 times less population. So by titles won vs population Ala is 32 times better than Cali. . Cali is almost as bad as Texas when it comes to titles in college football. Sure, you're ok at a single blood sport that will likely die out in our lifetime when the pussification and disinterest lines cross but with regards to pure athleticIsm and competitive spirit are best demonstrated across a society, you would be well served to not invoke any comparisons of your beck of the woods to the Conference of Champions that boasts the #1, #2 and #3 schools all-time Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
