Sammyswordsman
Questions for Whiteshoes. Which HS football games have you attended this year? Have you ever seen a WCAC or Trinity League team play in person? What basis do you have for ranking all these small market teams? You seem to go way out of your way to list teams no one has ever heard of, and that have not played a relevant opponent in years. How do you find the below teams? They have no business on this list or any list. Chippewau Valley, Southern Columbia area, Desmet Jesuit, Madison Central, Maryville, Memphis University, Highland Springs VA, etc. etc. etc.

abbatt
Whiteshoes, Just wondering.......why do Gary Roosevelt and Gary West side still play football ? They are getting obliterated by below average teams year after year. ....and is this Hammond Morton`s best team ever ?
abbatt
Sammy, DesMet Jesuit is better than you think......Anyway Christian Brother`s ...which lost to DMJ 42-14...is hosting Winton Woods ,Ohio this week....so a daisy chain chance to evaluate a top 10 Ohio team against a top 5 MO.team.

Morton has had some good years, from 2009 - 1011, they won 11, 11, and 12 games respectively. In 2014 they won 11 games but once they leave "the region" in tournament play, usually Lowell is waiting on them and Lowell is a very good 4A team each year. As far as Roosevelt and West Side are concerned, I always thought they use football to stay in shape for basketball season. You really have to admire the kids and staff of all schools who never have successful seasons yet are there each year to hopefully find the magic. abbatt
Whiteshoes, I think your reason applies more to West side than Roosevelt.According to MaxPreps..West side has 81 kids on the roster......with some big linemen and definitely speed and athletes. I believe Chicago Mt.Carmel has played West side recently......pounded them....but at least West side wins some games and is somewhat competitive.....Roosevelt is just a train-wreck...they have traveled to IL to play very avg.teams and gotten slaughtered...and got demolished by the same type of teams in IND..I don`t see the point. Maybe Morton will breakout this year.

Highland Springs may be a bit suspect due to them not playing anyone, but the rest are proven commodities. Chippewa Valley rolled to the Michigan state title last year and has a decent team this year. We already know about DeSmet THIS year so far. Madison Central, Maryville, and MUS are mainstays in their respective states as well. So, really, the only stretch I see for a top 100 ranking to me is Southern Columbia. You could make an argument for the others.

So a decent team that rolled to a Michigan state championship last year. Saying that Omaha Vol's arguments are stupid is, indeed, something of substance. His lack of a coherent response to what I say is a sign of its effectiveness.
