Who will challenge Longview in Texas 6A Division 2?

Sorry. Just because they dented in a top Louisiana team doesn’t mean they will win state.

This was the best OOS team Louisiana team played this year and wasn’t even competitive.

Maybe West Monroe and Zachary will tangle for the title while Deerfield and Longview are sitting at home for the holidays.

The promoter for the BoB said DFB and Longview need to play because no one in Louisiana can compete. True story

Only lost to N. Shore by a FG. However, the Lobos did blast a decent Rockwall team 49-3.

Spring Westfield lost to Longview 14 - 0 last year in the playoffs.

They just didn't have an offense once their starting QB got injured for the entire 2018 season. Defense was great.

If they can get anything out of their offense this year while maintaining the same type of defense, they will be a threat.

Top challengers would be in order:

1) Westfield

2) Westlake

3) Guyer

4) West Brook

Now, there are other D2 teams that are good but those 4 will probably have most say so.

Tompkins is another, but we don't know if they will be D2 or D1 yet. 7 Lakes against Mayde Creek this week will fully determine that. If Mayde wins, Tompkins all but confirmed D1 bound. If 7 Lakes wins, Tompkins inching closer to D2.
