St James is dripping in talent and pretty damn good for a 3A. St James beat 5A Destrehan this year and Destrehan is playing for a 5A Title Friday night in the Dome. That community takes football about as seriously as you can take it. They built a nice stadium couple years back and they fill it. They're Waaaaay overdue to win one. Been the Bridesmaids too many times. And yes that school takes it CRAZY serious. My Dad's Haughton team beat them in the 78 semifinals and St James fans started tearing the buses down. I think I still have his footage from that game somewhere. Rummel almost lost to a North Carolina team. These are the head and shoulders best teams in the state. And they are in 4 quarter wars with average and ok teams. Not a good look.
