GOP Rep Kinzinger starts PAC to resist party’s Trump embrace

WASHINGTON (AP) — Rep. Adam Kinzinger, one of 10 Republicans who voted to impeach Donald Trump, is launching a political action committee to push back against a House GOP leadership team and party that he says have become too closely aligned to the former president.

The “Country 1st” PAC, unveiled in a six-minute video released Sunday, will challenge the current direction of a GOP that Kinzinger says has wrongly become a “Trump-first party” to the detriment of the nation, as seen by the Jan. 6 riot at the Capitol.

The Illinois congressman cited most Republicans’ seeming unwillingness to hold Trump accountable for his role in encouraging the violent protests, as well as the party's support of lawmakers such as Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, who has drawn criticism for past social media posts reported by various news organizations in which she’s suggested support for killing Democratic politicians, unfounded QAnon theories and racist views.

The goal of the PAC is to say, “Let’s take a look at the last four years, how far we have come in a bad way,” Kinzinger said on NBC’s “Meet the Press.” “How backward-looking we are, how much we peddle darkness and division. And that’s not the party I ever signed up for. And I think most Republicans didn’t sign up for that.”

“It doesn’t mean we don’t need to fight back, you know, to defend what we believe, conservative principles,” he added. “But when I ask people now what is a conservative principle, how many people think that conservative principles are things like just ‘build the wall’ and, you know, charge the Capitol and have an insurrection?”

Kinzinger also criticized the leadership of House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., who initially said after the riot that Trump bears responsibility for the violence. But after meeting privately with the former president last week in Florida, McCarthy tweeted in support, “United and ready to win in ’22.”

Kinzinger also cites the GOP’s efforts to remove Wyoming Rep. Liz Cheney from the leadership team because she voted to impeach Trump.

“Republicans must say enough is enough," Kinzinger says in the video. “It’s time to unplug the outrage machine, reject the politics of personality, and cast aside the conspiracy theories and the rage.”

Quick question, after the game do you follow the opposing losing team back to the showers to commiserate,

instead of joining the celebration on your winning side ?

No dark winter celebration from you 🤷‍♂️

Now why is that ?

🤡

PS: If he ever does run again, you know that martyr gift you are giving him is going to be his new campaign slogan right??? LOL  Like who wouldn't vote for the only guy to ever be impeached twice by those nasty politicians...

Surveillance video shows delivery van and black car at Detroit ballot counting center.

Surveillance video recorded overnight after the election shows a white van making deliveries (plural), to a major Michigan ballot counting center: TCF Center in Detroit.

The video was obtained by The Gateway Pundit.

The deliveries of boxes reportedly occur hours after the deadline for ballots to be collected.

During that same time period, President Trump's large lead in Michigan was overtaken by a surge in ballots counted for Joe Biden.

The crazy thing is Biden “won” by only a trunk load of fake ballots in one building in one city of the 4 different states that swung the election. Pretty funny that almost all of the fraud exposed was from only those 4 states and the largest city in those states. Where the dems control all the local government.

People were posting in real time all the fraud and corruption. Then when it went to the courts they were all packed with elected partisans who shot it down. So the left wingers could say, “look he’s failing to make a case in court. It must be a lie.” But failing to mention the judges, DA, and attorney generals are all hyper Democrat partisans from Philly, Milwaukee, and Atlanta.

They were kangaroo courts who stonewalled the lawsuits so the time would run out.

Prosecutors in Fulton County, Georgia have opened a criminal investigation into former President Donald Trump's attempts to overturn the state's 2020 presidential election results and reverse his loss, the New York Times reported on Wednesday.

The Times, citing a state official, said county prosecutor Fani Willis had sent a letter asking state government officials to preserve documents, including those related to Trump's call to Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger pressuring him to "find" more votes.
