Why are the Democrats Fighting Tooth and Nail to Stop This?

Arizona Democrats file last-ditch lawsuit to stop Senate audit of Maricopa County election.

The Arizona Democratic Party sued to stop the GOP-led state Senate audit of the 2020 election in Maricopa County a day before it is set to begin. A motion, filed on Thursday, requests a temporary restraining order, arguing that the review of the county's voting machines and 2.1 million ballots cast is in violation of state law.

...Maricopa County initially challenged the Senate GOP subpoena in February for election materials, but a lower-court judge upheld the subpoena. The county did not attempt to appeal the subpoena but refused to allow the Senate-led audit to be conducted on county property.

The audit, which was expected to go on for weeks, is slated to begin Friday at the Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Phoenix, and the transportation of the election materials began earlier in the week. A hearing on the filing is set for Friday morning. Arguments will be heard by Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Christopher Coury.

The complaint alleges the Senate's audit, which is set to begin Friday, is violating state election law in numerous ways, including by not setting up proper security to protect ballots, voting machines and voter information.

This is harmful, they write, because their private information "will be placed into the hands of unknown, untrained agents of the private auditors" without the safeguards outlined in state law.

Judge Issues order to pause Republican-led Audit

An Arizona judge issued an order on Friday requiring a company at the center Republican-led effort to examine ballots from the 2020 election to hand over documents related to the process.

The audit, which began Thursday, is being conducted by a Florida-based firm, Cyber Ninjas, that has never previously audited an election; the company's founder, Doug Logan, also embraced pro-Trump conspiracy theories about voter fraud on his since-deleted Twitter account, the Arizona Mirror reported.

‘Never heard of them’: Arizona GOP audit firm unknown even in home state

A successful ninja is unseen, unheard, stealthy.

By that standard, the firm Cyber Ninjas — which Arizona Republicans chose to audit the ballots cast in 2020 in the Phoenix area — fits the bill: Almost no one involved in election or politics in Florida, the state where the company is headquartered, seems to have heard of it or knows anything about it.

Nor do they know anything about Cyber Ninjas’ founder, Doug Logan, who registered his firm in the southwest Florida city of Sarasota in 2014, state records show.

“Doug Logan? Cyber Ninjas? No. I don’t know these guys. Never heard of them,” said Christian Ziegler, vice chair of the Republican Party of Florida and a resident of Sarasota, echoing a dozen top Florida Republicans and elections professionals interviewed by POLITICO.

Well, THAT'S not too suspicious, now is it?

You gotta hand it to Slotback Right.

He's all-in on the "no specific charges, just vague suspicions" angle.

This was always the point of the audit. To reinforce suspicions among Trumps fans and to create them amongst other susceptible voters.

They have all 2.1 million ballots. They have audited 400,000 of them and have found exactly squat. So now they're going to nitpick to death to try to stir up controversy where none exists.

And nincompoops like Slotback Right will eat it up.

Wisconsin has joined Arizona now. The audit was ordered three months ago, and is expected to be finished in the fall.

Wisconsin is officially auditing the results of the 2020 Election, with the official announcement coming today according to Newsmax reporter Emerald Robinson. Robinson announced on Twitter, “The state of Wisconsin authorized an audit of the 2020 election!”

The official audit was ordered almost three months ago by Republicans in the State Legislature, according to Newsweek. The Joint Legislative Audit Committee voted to order the audit along party lines. The audit will be run by a non-partisan body.

Republicans argue that the measure is necessary to increase transparency in the highly controversial 2020 election, as well as our election system in general. Since Biden only won Wisconsin by about 20,000 votes, it is imperative to ensure that voter fraud played no role in his victory.

The Arizona "audit" was supposed to be completed by Friday.

They've only audited about 20% of the ballots so far.

So by my calculation an audit due to be completed in the Fall should get done in about 2038.

Arizona G.O.P. Split on Vote Review: ‘We Can’t Indulge These Insane Lies’

The five elected supervisors, all but one of whom are Republicans, plan to meet on Monday afternoon to issue a broadside against what Republican sponsors in the State Senate have billed as an election audit, which targets the 2.1 million votes cast in November in metropolitan Phoenix and outlying areas. The planned meeting follows a weekend barrage of posts on Twitter, with the hashtag #RealAuditorsDont, in which the supervisors assailed the integrity of the review.

Those posts followed a letter from the leader of the audit, State Senator Karen Fann, implying that the county had removed “the main database for all election-related data” from election equipment that had been subpoenaed for review. Mr. Trump later published the letter on his website, calling it “devastating” evidence of irregularities.

The supervisors’ Twitter rebuke was scathing. Real auditors don’t “release false ‘conclusions’ without understanding what they are looking at,” one post said, ridiculing the allegation of a deleted database. Nor do real auditors “hire known conspiracy theorists,” a reference to the firm hired to manage the review, whose chief executive has promoted theories that rigged voting machines caused Mr. Trump’s loss in Arizona.

Jack Sellers, the Republican chairman of the board of supervisors, issued a statement calling the suggestion that files were deleted “outrageous, completely baseless and beneath the dignity of the Arizona Senate,” which ordered the audit. In an interview, he said the meeting on Monday would refute claims in the letter from Ms. Fann, the Senate president.

Several videos from this right-wing "news" channel and yet not a single one has a credible allegation of.....anything.

It is funny that this network is out of Michigan and yet it is breathlessly covering a partisan recount in Arizona that has turned up exactly zero irregularities.

It's almost as if this particular network is a shill for right-wing lunacy.

These are the last several uploads from this broad's "news" show.

This is a craven fishing expedition and the only thing shocking about it is how obvious it is.

Arizona GOP's election auditors backtrack on deleted database claim

Auditors working on behalf of state Senate Republicans admitted Tuesday that data it had accused Maricopa County of deleting had been found.

*Actual* rebuke incoming.

But the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors, a mostly Republican body in charge of overseeing elections, furiously disputed the allegations. In a technical document accompanied by a scathing letter Monday addressed to Fann, the board offered a detailed explanation for the auditors' apparent confusion and said the private companies charged with recounting ballots were looking in the wrong place because they have no idea what they're doing.

That they "furiously" disputed "it" doesn't lend any credibility 🙄

especially from someone refusing court supenas forthe actual evidence that would show "it". LOL

So what happened to your lefty mantra "if you have nothing to hide" 😝

Saying the computer people shouldn't be doing a forensic on the computers used is laughable ....whether you say "it" like a clown or not.

The audits are catching on. I believe there are now at least partial audits ordered or in progress in Georgia, New Hampshire, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and, of course, Arizona. Not sure about Michigan, but there definitely should be one in Detroit, considering how they ordered all the Republican poll watchers out of the room, and then blocked out the windows with poster boards and empty pizza boxes so no one could see what crooked shit, if any, was going on in that room.

The dominos are being set up. I'm especially excited about this one:

Georgia Set For Another Election Audit After Judge Unseals 145,000 Absentee Ballots

Georgia is set to join Arizona in reviewing a massive number of ballots cast in the 2020 presidential election, according to multiple reports, as legal battles continue more than six months after the final ballots were cast.

Judge Brian Amero on Friday agreed to allow more than 145,000 Fulton County absentee ballots to be reviewed as part of an audit.

Amero granted the review in response to a lawsuit brought by nine plaintiffs challenging the Georgia election results.

The plaintiffs claim there was suspicious activity at a ballot-counting site in Atlanta—a claim which was also made by former President Donald Trump—but an investigation by the Georgia secretary of state's office found no evidence of fraud.

Exactly! Reality check for the lefties...this is an incumbent's dream, politically. Being at the helm of the nation, and seeing the country successfully through any crisis, establishes that leader as a hero, maybe even a savior in the minds of those who were panicking the most. Too bad for the Democrats that this didn't happen six months later than it did, because now, everything is going to be improving rapidly at just the right time for the incumbent.
