LOSer generates multiple replies because he is unable to build a cohesive argument if he has to reply to a whole post. By taking snippets and trying to build individual responses he both artificially inflates his post count to make himself seem more important than he really is and hides the fact he isn't responding to the entire thought his is trying to tear down.
