Plus the girls games is still a lot more focused on true basketball than street ball that the boys game in some cases has become. Something is wrong if a 17 year old high school kid can't play a game on Monday Tuesday and Friday imo. Playing 1 game every 2 weeks is wrong. In the first 10 weeks of the season Sidwell Friends play 5 games. Nothing against them personally but it is an hugh advantage. You take the top public girls team teams like Hoover. Desoto or Duncanville have already played in middle 20 range. As of right now Hoover girls have played 23 games Desoto 23 Duncanville 26. Most will play 35 or more total games. Private schools may play 14 games all year and are nationally ranked. Ignorant post. Sidwell was not allowed to play games in November (league rules) and played five games the first ten days of December before Covid and snow closed schools in DC for almost a month. They now have played five more games in January and are 10-0 and no one has gotten within 10 points of them. They have beaten the #2 team in the country by 18 (DeSoto) and tonight beat the #5 team in the country from Minnesota by 12. They have also won easily against two perennial powers from New York (Christ the King and Long Island Lutheran) and beaten four top DC area teams handily (McNamara, Paul VI, Seton and Georgetown Visitation) . They are clearly one of the best teams in the country with five and maybe seven girls with D1 offers.
