Then you admit that Colerain goes toe to toe with the state's champions consistently, but then insist that their reputation is aided by playing a weaker schedule. That seems counterintuitive or irrelevant. It is not. Both things are absolutely true. Colerain has lost alot versus one and won alot versus the other. And a handful of GMC teams have been in and out of the top 100 over the years and notched wins against GCL teams, as well as many other games that went down to the wire. Looking back at 10 years of post-season, I find two GMC wins over the GCL. Needless to say, GCL victories over the GMC are not hard to find. The fact is that the GMC has about half of the biggest 10 high schools in the state. Yet these huge schools rarely make the post-season, and if they do, they are generally out in the 1st, or at best 2nd round. Since 2003 when calpreps started rating schedules, Colerain's schedule strength is 2nd nationally only to Warren Central by the slimmest of margins for public schools. And why is that? That's why the passing game is sporadic. Neither guy can get into a rhythm. Pick one and get him ready for the meat of the schedule. These Eagle backs are studs though.
