Not only are players opting out, which makes the games a lot less interesting than they used to be, but there are 43 bowls now, too.

Surprised they didn't find a slot for Colorado...against someone like Temple or Indiana or UTEP. That would have set viewing records, I'm sure. Hell, Maalox would probably sponsor such a battle.

Nah, the non-playoff bowls have defintely lost their luster for me.

Depends how you look at it.

LSU QB Garrett Nussmeier will make his first collegiate start against Wisconsin.

He will be LSU's starting QB next year. All Tiger eyes including mine will be on him and some of the other younger talent that's going to get to play most likely.

Say what you will but it's always nice to end the season with a Bowl win.
