am seeing the impact @golfaddict1 has been pointing out in AR

Arkansas is ahead of Texas this week in Freeman’s  “top 50” sos in state average.

Think about that.  Top 50!

November is over.  As I mentioned Pops in the another thread when is Calpreps sweet spot?  Pre October no.  State playoff boost being factored at different points of playoffs (UT playoffs finished last week, this week was Texas round 2) in effect and or some weird AR data point altogether.

We are beyond the state scaling discussion and realize the faults and weaknesses Freeman deals with when he’s pushing a novelty national rating.

Something is clearly wrong with this week’s 25... just start from 25 up.  Sorry but only an algorithm could come up with this pattern of OH.  Remember top 25 in nation here.  Sos in a power state is hijacking the top 25 nationally and that’s not what his rating system was about.  He needs to tinker more.

It's obvious that Ned screwed the pooch with his adjustment.

As I said, I am very disappointed in Ned.

I love that you dont see the whole point...

CalPreps can and is adjusted however the fuck a HUMAN wants it to be... its not what you said it was for years.

And just to go over GA a little better than Ararar did...

45. Colquitt Co. - lost to #53, #56, and #92... but beat #90 and #107 in the playoffs...

46. North Gwinnett - only loss to #107, but has beaten #68...

53. Lowndes - was upset by #74, but has wins over #45 & #92..

56. Brookwood - has lost to #90 and #107, but wins over #45 and #92...

68. Grayson - has lost to #46 and #90, but has wins over #58 (OOS team) and #74...

72. Buford - has lost to #27 (by 6 to OOS team) .. has wins over #237, and #281

74. McEachern - has lost to #68, but has given #53 its only loss

90. Archer - lost to #45, but has beaten #56 & #68

92. Tift Co. - lost to #53 & #56, but has beaten #45

107. Walton - lost to #45, but has beaten #46 & #56

Its complicated.

Yikes.

Pick. North is a real ? and number 30 is still in the playoffs.  If Freeman truly looked at head to head how is Pick North ahead of a school that beat them 2x including the playoffs!   That’s absurd.

Yeah Pick North has lost to 30 twice and 162... but because they beat #129 and #162 badly... they are #18 nationally...

Calpreps loves OH the same way they love Socal and NJ and TX and other areas where top teams regularly play one another

OH always has a surge at CO around now due to an earlier playoff boost as well

the Pickerings are a quandary — normally, I can at least observe something that explains the complaint (of not justifies), but in this case all i can come up with is central struggled vs some teams they shouldn’t have — beat #454 by 3, #654 by 5, and #1440 by 1.  You don’t often see teams with 3 good wins and no bad losses and vice versa and 2 of those games for each team we’re their head to heads.  As far as i understand, the only “head to head” consideration (which humans value possibly disproportionally to an overall evaluation) is the 0.2 than an undefeated team will always stay over a team that they beat regardless

Is that a fact? Could there be a chance, however slim, the talent is more evenly distributed among more teams?

Now if you could only get some of the public schools interested. In the 60's, 70's and into the 80's, Clifton and Passiac, and others were putting out players.See any Penn State roster from the era.I've heard those teams, and some others were able to compete. Then again, do you  have enough talent and or coaching to field one (see Cen-10 )public school squad capable of giving a BNU team a fair fight? Will we see in the near future a New jersey team, a public school, make a move?

Same strategy as always being used by Pops..

Misrepresent, lie, lie, and lie some more.

Its never been said by any GAian that 3-loss teams cant be better than undefeated teams.

It has been said for years that Colquitt plays best in the playoffs.

I still think North Gwinnett is the best in GA... at this moment atleast.

Until CalPreps stops looking like this... it'll never matter

3. St. John Bosco CA

4. Bingham UT

5. St. Louis HI

9. Corona Centennial CA

10. North Little Rock AR (lol)

11. Mission Viejo CA

14. De La Salle CA

15. Folsom CA

16. Christian Brothers MO (CB lost to the #7 TN team... a GA 1A team beat TN #5 55-10... and a GA 4A beat TN #6 45-19...)

17. Archbishop Hoban OH

18. Pickerington North OH (this team has 3 losses and 0 Top 100 wins... makes no sense)

20. Trotwood-Madison OH

21. Bentonville AR

(Theres NINE (9!) Ohio teams between #17-#30... #17, #18, #19, #20, #22, #23, #26, #27, & #30... theres absolutely no one that can make an argument for this)

28. Greenwood AR

29. St. Augustine FL (whose best win is a 3 point victory over a team that Cartersville, #132, beat by 7 and was up 38-10 at one point on)

32. Brentwood Academy TN (saw them play Bishop Dunne.. they arent that good)

33. Muskegon MI (I like Muskegon, but they are at 33 while not owning a Top 400 win on the service they are rated #33 on)

34. Valencia CA (this is just stupid)

45. Arlington Martin TX (no Top 200 win and a loss to #54...  common sense says they shouldnt be above 54)

47. Bishop Miege KS

51. Mission Hills CA

55. Bergen Catholic NJ ... lost 62-14, GTFO

65. Helix CA (why is this teams always so high for absolutely no season at all)

73. Pittsburg CA (wins over NorCal teams only and a 42 point loss to an overrated Cen10 team)

85. Longview TX

86. Highland ID

93. Staley KS

95. Pine Bluff AR (best win is #316 with a loss to #343... how the hell are they here)

98. Bryant AR

99. De La Salle MI (has a loss to a team in the 2000s)

Those teams would be top 10 in Ga
