TheRealCAJ
Nice to see the Hahnville Tigers back in the Superdome battling for the 5A State Championship vs Zachary. The last time Hahnville played in the Dome was 2003 when they defeated Evangel Christian 41-34 for the 5A Title. That was the year DLS, CA beat Evangel 27-10. Hahnville ended up #17 PrepNation and #17 USA Today in 2003. http://www.tennprepdb.com/prepnationrankings.aspx?Season=2003 Hahnville has 6 State Championships: 1949, 1968, 1972, 1992, 1994, 2003 Hahnville has put out a lot of talent. Cool video from a few years ago. http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-network-total-access/0ap2000000132016/The-Bayou-Effect Hahnville is about 30 minutes from NOLA

Yeah, that team was led by RB Darius Reynaud who went on to be part of those great West Virginia teams (Pat White, Reynaud, etc) He hung around the NFL for 5 or 6 seasons..... Very similar.......Reynaud was a little thicker while Pooka may be a step faster. Reynaud was a 3* too and underrated when he signed with West Virginia.

If Hahnville can win that game I'm not sure anyone else has ever done that before....#2, #3 and #4-Hahnville will have earned it. West Monroe was the #1 seed losing to Zachary.... Zachary won 5A in 2015.....Looking for another one.

Makes for great story lines and exciting football.
Reb72
not that it really matters, but West Monroe's 2 OOS opponents won their respective state championships, Booker T Washington (Tulsa) won Oklahoma 6A II and Noxubee County Mississippi 4A

Once or twice 😁 And the team that slapped Parkway around like they stole something (albeit without star QB and after a half...star WR) won Mississippi 6A... But somehow...someway....Louisiana plays nobodies 😂

Grayson lost 35-28 in the GA 7A 2nd Rd , but it was to North Gwinnett who is playing in GAs 7A State Championship next week... and its been NGs closest game in the playoffs. Graysons also one of the most talented teams in the Southeast... pretty good team to have on your resume...

TheRealCAJ
Not going to start another thread, but U-High is still #1 in the Pelican State with De La Salle close behind. The two will meet this weekend for the D2 State Championship...the winner will most likely be crowned King of the Bayou for 2017 by Maxpreps. Zachary got a nice bump for beating West Monroe. It's really tough to say though. Maxpreps Top 5 1 University Lab (Baton Rouge) 12-0 19.7 -- 2 De La Salle (New Orleans) 11-0 23.8 +1 3 Zachary 12-2 34.1 +3 4 John Curtis Christian (River Ridge) 11-1 36.5 -- 5 Edna Karr (New Orleans) 13-1 28.1 +2 U-High got some poll love this week coming in #10 in the USA's Today Southwest Regional rankings. USA Today has Curtis #1 in La. http://usatodayhss.com/2017/super-25-regional-football-rankings-week-17-southwest Allen, Texas (13-0) Katy, Texas (11-0) Pearl, Miss. (16-0) Owasso, Okla.
