DOJ warns House Intel chairman about purported secret memo on FBI MIKE LEVINE,Good Morning America 11 hours ago The Justice Department is urging the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, whose staff has compiled a secret memorandum purporting to show "shocking" political bias within the FBI, to give the department a chance to see the memo and warning that first sharing information from the memo with reporters would be "unprecedented" and dangerous. Furthermore, the department said certain allegations of impropriety are completely unfounded. "We believe it would be extraordinarily reckless for the Committee to disclose such information publicly without giving the Department and the FBI the opportunity to review the memorandum and to advise the [committee] of the risk of harm to national security and to ongoing investigations that could come from the public release," a top Justice Department official wrote in a letter today to Rep. Devin Nunes, R-California. "Indeed, we do not understand why the Committee would possibly seek to disclose classified and law enforcement sensitive information without first consulting with the relevant members of the Intelligence Community." Last week, Nunes disclosed that his staff had drafted the memo, which was deemed classified but shared with other House members. Then the number of texts is reported to have been distributed between about 4,000 agents. Then the texts are reportedly recovered by the Inspector General and show it to be a big nothing burger "FBI conspiracy". It's reported that the gist of the texts show that they were joking. Then someone points out that if you were going to start a secret society, why would you call it that. These are FBI and they would use a bland code word or phrase to hide the real meaning. Then Hannity calls out the New York Times for reporting that Trump told his lawyer (McGann) to have Mueller fired, shortly after the Special Counsel was appointed. Hannity talked to his sources and they knew nothing about it, so he portrayed it as another example of "shoddy reporting of fake news".......until later in the program, FOX confirmed the NY Times story.......Hannity walked it back and literally showed a car chase crash afterwards.....Too funny! Yesterday was another good news day! The continuing story is that real news, NY Times, Washington Post, AP, ABC, CBS, NBC, NPR, Vanity Fair, The New Yorker, The Atlantic, The Wall Street Journal and several other bona fide news sources print the real truth and the FOX Fog machine, Dimbart and the Daily Crawler post sh*t.
