Stage 1:"No meetings. Never happened!" Stage 2: "Ok, meetings happened but no criminal activity!" Stage 3: Ok, criminal activity occurred but nothing involving Russia!" Stage 4: Ok, the criminal activity was lying about Russian meetings but meetings are not illegal!" Stage 5: Ok, their activities were illegal but Trump himself wasn't involved!" That reads much like what happened with Hillary's emails, except there was much more evidence against her.

The Nunes memo is allegedly about Carter Page who already had a legal FISA wiretap approved by a judge before Trump took office. McCabe comes into this during one of the 60-day renewal hearings. Republicans make legal activity look criminal and criminal activity look legal. That's their MO.

So sayeth Canes. The fact is is that the Dems want and need these investigations to go on as long as possible. The release of this document poses serious problems for them if it indeed does point to corrupt behavior, such as with FISA warrants. Imagine a 2018 election cycle where the economy is growing, unemployment is low, wages are rising and the Dems don't have a Russia! Russia! Russia! scandal for them and their media bootlickers to push 24/7. imagine a 2018 election where the Russians are going to do the EXACT same thing they did in our 2016 election because the Republicans never fixed the situation...because they were too busy running interference for Trump to care about our elections...the Russians can't wait for 2018...they'll be busy making silly memes for you to post.... If this same stunt was pulled by a Democrat neither of us would take it seriously. That makes you a hack though.

Dodge, deflect. Hillary was not charged and has never been charged with a crime. On the other hand, 4 Trump associates have plead guilty or are on trial right now. Guccifer
Succinct listing of undisputed facts in the Russian probe. -------------------------- Why it matters: Take the known knowns — 10 undisputed facts — and the smoke clears considerably. At the Republican National Convention in Cleveland, the Trump campaign, chaired by Paul Manafort (since indicted), worked behind the scenes to weaken the party platform's anti-Russia stance on Ukraine. "Trump revealed highly classified information to the Russian foreign minister and ambassador in a White House meeting." Top Trump campaign officials met at Trump Tower with sketchy Russians who had offered dirt on Hillary Clinton. On Air Force One, Trump helped his son, Don Jr., prepare a misleading statement about the meeting. Trump, contradicting what his staff had said earlier, told NBC he fired FBI Director James Comey because of "this Russia thing." Michael Flynn, later Trump's first national security adviser, talked privately about sanctions with the Russian ambassador during the transition, then denied it to Vice President Pence. Flynn (who has pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI) failed to disclose payments from Russia-linked entities. Trump has repeatedly defended Flynn. During the transition, Jared Kushner spoke with the Russian ambassador "about establishing a secret communications channel between the Trump transition team and Moscow." Attorney General Jeff Sessions, then a U.S. senator, spoke twice to the Russian ambassador, then didn't disclose the contacts during his confirmation hearing. When Bob Mueller was named special counsel, Republicans widely praised him. Be smart: No sane person looking at those known knowns would say this is a crazy investigation. But your loose-cannon, mouth-running ass thinks it's smart to bet on that happening again against an infinitely more popular candidate with an electorate that will be less white and more millennial than 2016. There were no investigations ongoing and the economy was booming in 2016. Trump still fluked his way to an electoral win. The economy actually doesn't really matter in electoral politics. It's been a myth since Carville's "its the economy, stupid" bit. If it mattered Gore would've won (by more than he actually did) and Hillary would've won (by more than she actually did).
