I know STA has Freshman, JV, and varsity, but most others only have JV and Varsity. I know STA's Freshman team plays other school's JV teams for the most part.

In a way yes Keep in mind that many top level freshman will likely end up on varsity or play JV for freshman season then get bumped up to varsity at end of the season for the playoffs Plus by time you get a 50-60 man roster and then maybe 40-50 on JV there just isn't a ton of freshman at the schools to fill out a team Many schools decide they rather have a JV roster around 60 then have a JV roster of 40 and a freshman roster of

I believe the freshman schedule has less games than JV, but freshman also participate in JV games too. 1

Columbiafan
Most schools just don't have large enough numbers to fill one out to point where it would be beneficial On top of that because so few schools have freshman teams now, many dropped it because they just didn't have enough teams they could play to fill a schedule out Columbia last had one i think 09 or 10 but one of reasons they got rid of it was 1) not having a large enough freshman roster to justify it after moving most to JV or varsity and 2) because there are basically none who have freshman teams up here so it would have been difficult finding games for it I know basketball brought back a freshman team 2 years ago but they play like 7 or 8 games the entire season while JV plays like

Scared to make new schools so the football doesn’t get watered down. In 10 years Allen will have 20,000 kids with each grade having 5,000 students each 😂
