CO high school football is not per capita superior to Texas, even if looking at 11-man in CO vs. 3-man-with-QB-for-both-teams in TX. I was not serious.

Yeah obviously, I was just trying to figure out how the number for Texas was soo low.  Obviously they gotta have a shit load of HSFB players.

Yes, participation is high, besides having a ton of schools, it's also reflected by the size of some of these TX high school's football programs.  As an example, Allen has 600+, Trinity, Katy historically had 400+, Desoto just went over 400 this season.

UIL class 6A and 5A together out produced every single state except Florida.

class of 2016 those two combined had 276 total players that signed D1

The entire state of California sent 227 High School kids to FBS Schools

The entire state of Georgia sent 207

The entire state of Ohio sent 126

Texas 6A alone out produces Georgia and Ohio

As a region I believe DFW out performed the entire state of OH.

All east Texas towns are not on the LA border.  Lufkin, Longview, gilmer, Tyler, etc.

waskom , I'll give ya

Of course not directly on the border, but there have been a bunch of games played....Longview is what an hour from Shreveport?

It's a different border than say the NM border.

Anyways, DFW, Houston and East TX/Louisiana Border (if you will) are the D1 cash cows for TX.

San Antonio isn't doing much at all truly.

I am looking at only UIL kids from 2016 -  Yes, DFW had more recruits than every single state except for Florida, CA and Georgia.

The state of Ohio has 8 D1 schools and is only produced 126 total D1 kids.

I don't consider Tyler on the Louisiana border -  For me Tyler is the gateway to East Texas.  Tyler is 100 miles from Shreveport!

Gilmer is about 85 miles from shreveport

Tyler is half way between shreveport and dallas

I agree, that's why I said I give him waskom as being a border town, not the other
