Sammy VH had some killer tunes. But when you were indoctrinated with DLR, many of the later albums could only be "ok" with some really good songs thrown in. Agreed his stuff with VH wasn’t the best. It wasn’t bad IMO,, but it wasn’t VH without DLR. Used to see him cruising around Marin County when I was down there a lot more and ran into him at Sams in Tiburon about 8-10 years ago. Cool dude! He’s over 70 now.
