BREAKING @ Alabama: Former 5-Star Drew Sanders enters NCAA Transfer Portal

Alabama football’s sophomore outside linebacker and former five-star recruit, Drew Sanders has entered the NCAA Transfer Portal, according to Touchdown Alabama’s Senior Reporter Stephen M. Smith.

Sanders was a part of the Crimson Tide’s 2020 recruiting class. The Texas native played in seven games for Alabama this season and missed a lot of action due to an injury to his hand. He finished the year with 24 tackles, two tackles for loss and one sack.

I don't really know how good or bad Drew Sanders is, but he would probably be a good guy to have on the roster.

out here we knew they just needed the right coach to regain what was taken from them

It won't surprise me if Sanders ends up at TCU either.

Emani Bailey (Who played RB on the same Denton Ryan teams Sanders was under) just transferred to TCU.  As a result...his younger brother (Jordan) basically became a TCU lock and committed less than a week later.

Not saying it will happen...but Sanders has options.  And Fort Worth is "down the street" from Denton.

Alabama LB Drew Sanders is headed to Arkansas and Alabama TE Jahieel Billingsley is headed to Texas.

Alabama losing some key depth.....Gump has 16 players that entered the Transfer Portal so far.....some good, some that didn't play, and etc.....

Part of the cycle.  

4-5-stars compete.  Those that win out or get enough PT stay...the rest leave for better opportunities because the new batch gets favored over the old unless they stand out.

People love to be quick to complain and say players don't put in the work or the players gave up.  Why put in the work and risk being jumped or overlooked by an incoming freshman?
