So doors are the solution. Who knew...

He walked into the building and was locked out of the classroom, (securing kids in and locking classrooms/library/gym, etc is standard procedure for lock downs.) The solution is everyone did what they were suppose to do.

Everyone did what they were supposed to do — except the gunman. They got lucky and we continue to get lucky that these things are being carried out by children and incompetent people with zero training.

You commented on doors initially, so your solution is doors?

Non-gang related mass shootings tend to happen "Gun Free Zones". Overwhelmingly, in fact.

Locked security doors, maintenance of a single point of entry and an armed and trained security presence are probably the best combined solution to securing our schools.

So many districts are late, as is most of America. We have had cops in schools for close to 20 years.

The politicians who push the Gun Free Zone target creation bullshit?  Protected with guns.

The places they work? Ditto.

Fucking bastards.

You deputize and train a psych-evaluated and passed vet and give him a weapon.

Put heavy security doors on the schools that only open out. Keep them shut.

Single point of entry to the school. With buzz-in only after classes start.

See how many asshats look for their 15 minutes at schools once that's done.

Our school police are certified police officers. All else that you mentioned is standard here. I don't know of any school with doors to the exterior that open to the inside.

Buzzing in at school is a common thing here. I guess this is one of the reasons we don't have mass school shootings, not that it ca't happen.

Joey Applesauce doesn't like the idea of secured schools.

It's common-fucking-sense to do it.

There is something fundamentally wrong with people who are against making schools safe yet get push like hell to permit pre-teens to be mutilated because Sally is going through a tom-boy phase.

You can't live your life in a political bubble. No one should. Yet, repubes do it with ease, like breathing.

Everything is based on the political point of view. All you you think this is good when in fact it is idiotic.

I can point out truth.

The fatal farce of "Gun Free Zones" and the desire to not secure schools with armed sentinels are ideas of the left.

Own it.

Change it.

Don't pull some weak-ass shit and point a finger at me for stating the reality.
