Anyone here ever been to the mountains of Utah? How did you like your experience in UT compared to states like Arizona and New Mexico (if you’ve been)?

I’ve been to New Mexico, it’s a beautiful state that has an aura mystery.

I came close to buying a house and moving to Alpine UT, but in retrospect, I’m glad  I didn’t.  The skiing in the resorts just up the Mountains from Salt Lake is epic.   But, after spending more time in Southern UT, I preferred the desert to mountain transition areas better.  Bryce Canyon and Moab never get tiring, at least to me.
Overall though, I would rather live in Northern AZ in an area like Prescott or the outskirts of Flagstaff.  Lots of great trails for riding or hiking.  Close access to Sedona which is beautiful.
I’ve only drive across the southern section of New Mexico but my son thinks the northwestern part of the state is beyond comparison.
