Down 37-20

Andy Dalton scores on a prevent defense

8 for 11 for 60 yards and 1 TD.

...byrce young threw his 2nd career TD pass (a 3 yarder) with 1:16 left in the game vs the Saints prevent defense.

Do you ever get tired of being schooled by the, Intimidator (aka RedZone)

The home opener wasn't pretty for the Carolina Panthers, who fell to the rival New Orleans Saints, 20-17 on Monday Night Football.

That offense, led by rookie quarterback Bryce Young in his second career start, struggled most of the night. In fact, the Panthers had just 105 total yards through three quarters, before finally finding some footing while playing from behind.

Young threw his 2nd career touchdown pass to Adam Thielen with 1:16 left, setting the stage for a potential late miracle.

One encouraging sign for the Panthers offense, Bryce Young engineered his best drive of the night with the game on the line -- albeit against a prevent defense.

Who said that Bryce Young hasn't struggled? 20-10 and 37-20 are two different scores.

The Seahawks were also without starters Riq Woolen, Coby Bryant and then they lost Tre Brown early.

You think bryce young will throw the ball almost 60 times in a game this season????

He's just asking for punishment and more abuse if that happens at this point in time.

young has been roughed up this season just throwing the ball 30 times a game.

You.....everything but.

You did go off on Joe Burrow for 2 or 3 days though because that's the way you roll.

It would have been much easier for you just to say bryce young has been SAD this season so far.

I'm 100% certain that if young lights it up in any game this season though you'll be all giddy and turn it around like he's a NFL QB God.

Will be interesting to see how Carolina approaches the rest of the season.

Andy Dalton was 34/58 361 Yards 2 TDs 0 INT.....respectable numbers in anyone's book.

The HC already came out prior to this game, stating that the job is the rookie’s when he’s healthy to return.

Dalton may get one more week, as I saw last week 1-2 weeks out.

When your team can’t run the rock, you tend to pass more often.   They won’t be successful with a one dimensional offense.   The rookie has their longest run of the season at 26 yards.

It’s the rookie’s team, unless he will be out longer.

Did I mention Carolina’s starter is a rookie QB?

Burrow’s last pass, the first 15+ yard reception all season, that sets up a tying FG at the half.

Burrow left the field to loud enough hearing boo birds.

Stats prior to last drive and half

@954gator Tutu having a nice game so far, just missed a TD by an inch down the sideline.

Bengals (Ohio) fans must be digging Michigan’s Dax Hill… solid half.

Chase saved a 3rd down with quick hands on a Burrow toss behind him,  which could have resulted in a punt or 61 yard FG attempt or going for it…

Bengals score and take the lead in this def battle.   Burrow is 21-37, 190.  Nice Mixon run for the score.

Solid battle of the lines tonight.

Lol.  Deep ball reception for the Rams and then a tipped INT.   Stafford has the Brady voodoo doll nearing and in the red zone tonight.

Mixon nice 2nd effort.  Don’t think he had it initially.

Bengals defense is doing what they do.

Joe Burrow at 67% still looks light years better than the very young and smallish rookie> bryce young.

Joe trying to tough it out looking like a statue out there.

Tee Higgins with a couple drops tonight. He's normally money.

Ja'marr Chase is back in business.

One of Joe's greatest and most courageous games of his young career.

Total team player playing with a bum calf.

Your calf muscle helps you move your lower legs, feet and ankles. It allows you to flex your feet, walk, run and leap. It also supports and stabilizes your legs and enables you to stand up straight.

Well done, Joe.......got the important W!

No, and according to their coaches post game comments, having Dalton throw 59 was not in the game plan.  Carolina could not establish the run and once they fell behind, they abandoned it completely.  Not knocking Dalton, just pointing out his effort came against, for the most part, the Seahawks second and third string secondary.  And yes, Young would not have been as successful.

You mean well done defense

You are very strange and weird, big game venue joe!...... and to make matters even worse you are an idiot.

The Bengals don't win this game with Jake Browning at QB......a QB that has attempted only 1 pass NFL in his free agent career.

A hurt Joe Burrow did enough for the win.

Completed 26 passes for 257 yards.

Don't be mad at the world  bryce young is a very small and weak rookie.
