Rummel will travel to Baton Rouge and face the Catholic-BR Bears in the semifinals of the D1 Select Playoffs.

A Rummel win and the Raider is headed to the Superdome which is less than a 10 minute drive.

The computer has Catholic-BR beating Rummel 35-19 at a neutral site.

The computer also had John Curtis beating Rummel by 24 points this year..... that didn't work out so well for the computer though as we pushed John Curtis around pretty good that night.

Catholic-BR is 4-3 vs Rummel since 2004.

Been some real classics in those 7 games.

Has Rummel ever been ranked nationally in any sport?

Sure, in football and baseball several times....what's that have to do with hoover thinking about dropping football entirely?

........2019 was a good year for the Rummel Raider. We beat national power Catholic-BR that year in the D1 Select State Championship game and ended #11 Nationally.

In 2015 Rummel had some hype and was Preseason Top 20 that year.

We had Ja'Marr Chase and all those guys.

We ended up losing 2 games that year.

Traveled to New Jersey and lost to State Champion Don Bosco 10-3 and lost to Catholic-BR in the D1 Select Champ game 31-28..

We should have won both of those games. That was a very good Rummel team.

New York Giants starting QB Tommy DeVito was the QB for Don Bosco that year.

He was 10/15 79 Yards 0 TDs 0 INT vs the Rummel Raider..... we sacked him 5 or 6 times too.

We played not to lose that game instead of trying to win it. Don Bosco definitely wasn't all that.

JC was not the best team in the country that year.

...7 recognized High School Football Polls at the time said they were.

Take it up with them. I'm pretty much passed it.

John Curtis may not have been able to beat Rummel that year, but I'm not crying about it.

Some teams claim a myth National Title for winning 1 poll and brag about it for decades.
