Stand corrected on the numbers by class.  4A DII have between 505 and 789 kids.

Class 6A: 2,190 and above
Class 5A Division I: 1,840 to 2,189
Class 5A Division II: 1,150 to 1,839
Class 4A Division I: 790 to 1,149
Class 4A Division II: 505 to 789
Class 3A Division I: 335 to 504
Class 3A Division II: 225 to 334
Class 2A Division I: 161.5 to 224
Class 2A Division II: 105 to 161.4
Class 1A Division I: 55.5 to 104.9
Class 1A Division II: 55 and below

I was at Carthage recently and they missed 4A D2 by 5 students.

Did anyone notice the growth in Prosper HS over the last 2 years - they have jumped like 2000 students.  They now are sizeable 6A

It's only matter of time before Melissa is a large school too!

Yep I mentioned that and Princeton is 5A DII this year. 5 years ago they were a 3A school.  This area is exploding.

Had good conversation with college station the other day and they confirmed what I didn't want to hear about some of the private schools.  "They are Good" .  They started by naming off all the D1 kids that the team had that beat them - then raved about the 6'5" QB and how good he was.  Then talked about the size they had in the trenches.

They are better than most Texans want to give them credit for.  They are not embarrassing themselves.  Which is good because they Play 4A powers here quite often.  And they play 5A and this year 6A Desoto.  St. Pius X beat them worse than 6A power Westlake and didn't even win TAPPS DI.

I would not be shocked if Dunne beats Desoto.  They already have more top end talent.  They got two (class 2020) 4**** transfers, to go along with a talented group.  More to come this spring I'm sure.

I picked up Dave Campbells Texas Football recruiting guide this weekend while working in College station.

It has top 100 for 2019 along with top 50 for 2020 and top 25 for 2021

Here are some teams with multiple players listed.

Allen: CerTaidrian Brooks OL,

Jayden Jernigan DL,

EJ Nooma-Ogar OL,

Grant Tisdale QB,

Theo Wease WR,

Class of 2020 - Cole Latos OL,

Celdon Manning Ath,

Class of 2021- Bryson Green Ath,

  Blaine Green Ath

I guess Allen will keep on being good.

Aledo - caught my attention with a pretty good list of players too.

2019 - Jeffery Carter DB

Colt Ellison DL

Wyatt Harris DB

Chandler Knandel OL

class of 2020 - Monterren Parks WR

impressed with Newton, both talent and on the field play.  Carthage looks like they reloaded.

Jalen curry transferred to St Pius from Stratford....that gives ST Pius 4 players on the list..
