Warren Buffett’s big life lesson to students: Don’t borrow money like Donald Trump

  • Warren Buffett cautioned students to avoid borrowed money during a question-and-answer session at Notre Dame... He used Donald Trump's troubled casino investments to explain...
  • "I've seen more people fail because of liquor and leverage – leverage being borrowed money. Donald Trump failed because of leverage. He simply got infatuated with how much money he could borrow"

then he became infatuated with how much money he could steal from others and never looked back....but karma is a bitch...;)

We all know Trump is dirty but I never thought we could catch him because he is too well lawyered up.

Now, with his power of veto and a Congress who has chosen.  to walk with the devil, he virtually untouchable.

he never talked about student loans that are a disaster...

beyond words

what I did not realize is all the kids, I mean people that borrow more and more courses, borrowing more and more after they have their degree just to avoid paying back! You don't have to pay back until you are out of school.

He did that because he hates Trump....He should have talked about school loans which ruin kids.....Many who got loans are not college material....Read the new stats on "college lenders"....Many of those who get loans don't finish college and can't pay them back..or worse get shot jobs and ruined credit...Notre Dame was foolish to have him speak....

Lol!!!!!!!!! Yeah dumbass school for having a successful business man and even more successful philanthropist worth over 80 billion come speak. They should have instead brought in a fake billionaire who has had countless bankruptcies and can't borrow a single penny from any us bank come speak instead. Haha. There's a reason why Notre Dame is one of the top academic university's in the world. I'll let you figure out why.

Well, that hollow shell built a real estate empire second to none...The student loan bussiness would have better served those kids, parents and future potential borrowers...

On the top 20 richest real estate list he is absent. https://www.forbes.com/sites/erincarlyle/2016/03/14/the-20-richest-real-estate-barons-in-the-world-2016/#308452496540

Big phony worth about or close  to a billion...Big manision on Palm Beach, made millions singing to losers drinking in saloons .....Bitches about capitalism but made is money because of it...HE's FOS .....

Are you talking about Warren Buffet? For your edification, he is worth tens of billions, not a billion. He was able to accumulate his wealth via astute long term investments, a handful of which were big time home runs. Unlike DJT, who made a living stiffing his investors, among others, Mr. Buffet has created value for those that chose to invest with him.

Big difference between the two men.

He is very good at what he does. It does not match my psychological profile. But that does not mean I don't admire his investing acumen. He is one of the all time greats. And from what I have seen, I believe he is a relatively honest man.
