Not defending him but there are two sides to every story.  He claims he was in the backseat with friend and it was son her friend who was sitting in the front they groped the driver.  His backseat friend corroborates his story.  Just sayin’

I believe in due process (something this country has forgot about .... we have reverted back to the French Revolution where a simple accusation gets your head taking off by the guillitone) ....but jameis did take 2 Ubers.... the second he was alone with the uber driver.

Bad guy. Nothing new. A Tampa Bay writer wants the team to dump him (which won’t happen) Bucs will start 0-3 as well with the Saints, Eagles, and Steelers being the games he will be suspended for  .... when you start 0-3 you have less than 2% chance to make the playoffs I think.

Edit: 2.8% chance to make playoffs when start 0-3

New info tho. His other friend just said he was the only person in the car which corroborates the uber drivers story that he was the only one in the cab.

Former Vanderbilt football player Brandon Banks' name was in the news again on Friday amid reports that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers were going to suspend quarterback Jameis Winston for a 2016 assault accusation.

Banks, who was convicted in the Vanderbilt rape case, was out with Winston in Scottsdale, Arizona, on the night when Winston was accused of groping a female Uber driver, according to reports.

Multiple media outlets, including Yahoo! and ESPN, identified Banks as the third member of Winston's party that night, along with Winston's former Florida State roommate, Ronald Darby.

According to ESPN:

Winston, former Vanderbilt football player Brandon Banks and Eaglescornerback Ronald Darby were at a Scottsdale, Arizona, nightclub in March 2016 when Winston became intoxicated and "unruly," prompting his friends to send him away in an Uber, Banks' attorney, Mark Scruggs, told Outside the Lines. "What happened after that," Scruggs said, "they cannot say." Banks has never been identified publicly as being at the scene until now.

At the time of the alleged incident with Wilson, Brandon Banks was free on bond while awaiting trial on charges that he and three other former Vanderbilt football players raped an unconscious female student in June 2013.

Banks, 24, eventually returned to Nashville in June 2017 for his trial, when he was convicted of aggravated rape.

He is currently serving a 15-year prison sentence in Tennessee.

Banks and his three co-defendants  — Brandon Vandenburg, 24; Cory Batey, 24; and Jaborian "Tip" McKenzie — have all been convicted for charges related to the assault, and all but McKenzie are serving time in Tennessee prisons.

The investigation that led to indictments against each of the men started when campus police noticed suspicious surveillance video from a hallway in the Gillette Hall dorm on June 23, 2013. The video showed four men carrying an unconscious woman into a room.

Nashville police found more than 40 images and three videos of a rape that took place inside the room, taken on Vandenburg’s, Batey’s and Banks’ cellphones. The four defendants were all Vanderbilt football players at the time of the 2013 rape.

Also, 7-8 incidents involving rape, stealing, bee bee gun fights that resulted in $4000 in damage, stealing sodas at Wendy's, stealing Crab Legs....A spoiled brat who never has been held accountable ...One game he came out dressed to play, knew he had been suspended and was escorted off by his coach...Forgot to add unbridled arrogance....

I got sideways with Jameis in a hurry because of the above.

Hopefully Jameis breaks the cycle, because he simply gets it on the gridiron and works at his craft. But the extracurricular is gonna cost him his career.

The question is, how much does a team put up with him...? What message does sports send to HS players and others.....Cut him....He's an arrogant, spoiled, abuser who people always bitch about....I will write this team and express my disdain and enough would do that, this bum goes....Without football, he is ill prepared to be viable....I predicted this bum will self destruct, looks like he may do just that...

Certainly a train wreck in the making....giphy.gif Is Jameis gonna make that turn or is Jameis gonna continue on that path?
