TheMaximumHornetSting
You can diss CA college athletics all day but Academics man.... Most of the schools sitting at the top of the Academics game are in the Northeast and Cali.... except Notre Dame... Georgia Tech,North Carolina,Duke,Florida,UGA,Emory University, Virginia,Miami,UCF,FIU and Texas are the best schools in the south...

STA lost 44-27 to a first round Florida loser that year too. Depth. Something Cali doesn’t possess Who is the last school from fl to win the MNC and what year? And a splattering of talent at skill positions doesn't mean they are getting what they need, namely the 4 and 5* lineman, as well as depth. Injuries just cripple UCLA every year, with no depth to replace them. Usc is now nowhere close to being a top recruiting class anymore. They use to be in the top 3 or 5 every year. Some reason most of the best players want to play outside of LA. This goes in B-ball also. If La kept their talent local to the bruins, they would always be near the top with Carolinas and Duke etc. If Cali in general, kept all of the home grown talent in state, it would be a boring ass season in all sports year after year, because Cali would never lose a game in Football, Basketball, Baseball, hell probably even hockey and we don't play it out here. Lol. Oh yeah forgot track too. It would be way unfair and we like to share all of our wealth with the country. With out Cali the rest of the country would be the equivalent of the Jamaican bobsled team.

TheMaximumHornetSting
The only school that would actually be a threat is Stanford... And we wouldn't have to worry about them because they can't beat Washington or Notre Dame...
