How many times could Duncanville, Desoto, Lancaster and Cedar Hill with a population of less than 250K fit into Jamaic?.  Silly argument when something is cultural. For instance Jerk Chicken is a helluva lot better there yet Millions cook it here.  How many times would those 4 suburbs fit into Jamaica and the kids are just as fast?  We had this discussion before Jamaica is a T&F nation with Afro-Caribbeans.  I'm sure Ethiopia could fit here a lot times yet their asses would smoke us in the Marathon.  That argument only works when people don't understand demographics and cultures.  Why is Beast Tx faster than West and South Texas with Less People?  Why does the Southern U.S. dominate with Speed but has less people than most Northern States.  🤣

Yet when it comes to Jamaica you always come with let the best of Fl, and Texas would handle them.  One Jamaica school has to run against the best picked from 2 big ass states.  What kind of sense does that make?

In the nation 5 of the top 15 are Texas Kids.  3 of the Top 5.  Now tell me they can't run with Jamaica if we Stack our State like they do.  That's why I am not all giddy about it.  Though they are fast.  I see the same thing here.   No other State comes close including our closest Rival Florida.

We are talking world class.  Those are all fast HS kids.  Boling is the only 1 that has shown the world class potential sprinting.  He will be a world class Long jumper if he wants to be.

Go back and look at world class Sprinters and tell me what they ran in HS in the 100.  You are acting as if you are not a track guy now.  10.5 in HS translates to a World Class kid if that is what they focus on.  In Texas many of our fastest kids are Football guys and go that route.

Devon Allen was a football guy as well.  Tried his hand in football and was ok.  Stuck with track and is world class.

nptb17 thinks the Stick is not important when you are fast.  There is no way in hell you are gonna stop on the 2nd and 3rd leg make a handoff and beat the best in Texas like they did in the Penn Relays.  They ran slow because the damn stick game was terrible.  I watched those relays.

That is simply not true...Do they postpone races due to the wind?

Thousand upon thousands of sprinters have ran with wind and not one has ran 9.98

stop hating and be real.

Come on Texas,  They purposely ran the 100 the wrong way so that they would be running with the wind.  And a 4.2 wind reading.  That's not a slight wind.

The Penn Relays set up makes you factor in a lot of things.  First there is a damn bar in the middle of lanes 4 and 5 that you can trip over.  Second you have to worry about not tripping over someone because they over compensate so that they don't trip over that bar.
