Technically there is an etymological argument there.

However, the term had its origins in Europe as meaning "anti-Jewish", and has only ever been rarely (and given the history of the term, incorrectly) used otherwise.

A book that spoke to the predicament people of color face when entering most (white) evangelical churches or church-related organizations. A Jesus that is disconnected and different from the teachings in the bible, and exposing this Jesus may be redemptive for POC who feels discouraged .

Have you ever read or heard of the book "The Third Jesus" by Deepak Chopra?  It is a very good read and brings a lot of excellent points that are totally absent from the European interpretation of the bible.  

Anyway, keep up educating the uneducated.  You never know what might sink in and give them a moments pause to reflect.
