Certainly not counting them as elite this year. They are a poor team this year. Talking about the whole state being down in general.

I personally believe some of the south FL teams that have been strong are a bit down.   Gibbons, AHP, Miami Teams, are down a bit, but who knows who will be surprisingly better this year when the year comes to a close.   There could be some surprise teams that are solid.

I think this may be just the beginning for Florida teams being down. The state has had "Super teams" for a while, with Dade county having open enrollment and private schools in densely populated urban areas loading up. Now, that trend towards super teams has spread nationwide with what we see in SoCal, the DMV etc. Difference is, most of the schools in the other states invest a lot more into coaches and facilities than do the Florida programs. So, they tend to be combining similar, super-team level of talent with superior coaching. There's no reason to think any of this will change or reverse in the foreseeable future.

Plant has a pretty first rate staff. Experience, winning, coaches from all levels up to the NFL on staff. Plant's issue is talent. Not coaching. Still, now that they know they are in this trend, I'd like to see the offense go back to more of a spread where the goal is first downs and not their current offense, which has been predicated on power running and big plays in the passing game.

But I can guess that it was written by that goofball, Josh.

You really want to try to lend credence to your argument by using him as your support?
