Centennial Corona- California Public School

So the California Private School blowhard loons have been coming after the mostly Public School State of Texas and saying they don't travel or play anyone and the typical "Penis Envy" style of talk from a lot of idiots that California mostly has these days.

The Top Public School in California over the past 15 or so years has been Centennial Corona High School.    According to Max Preps information.

2013-  Liberty NV   (played in California)

2014- Bishop Gorman, NV (played in California)

2015- Salt Lake East, UT  (Played in California)

2016-Chandler, AZ  (played in California),  IMG,FL (Played in California) and Liberty, NV  (Played in California)

2017- IMG, FL (Played in California)

2018- Chandler, AZ  (Played in California)

2019-  Liberty, NV   (Played in California)

Wow.... If Maxpreps information is correct..  The top California Public School (Centennial Corona) has never left the State of California to play against an OOS opponent.

PS.  Most of the Centennial OOS games are against California Border States too.

The next so called best Public School in California is Long Beach Poly.     Now, LBP is an athletic magnet sports school but we'll go ahead and call it a Public school.. "cough-cough."

Since 2004...   LBP has played against 6 OOS opponents.

2005-  Bellevue, WA in WA.   (lost)

2007- Glenville, OH in OH    (won)

2008- Miami NW in Florida   (won)

2015- Centennial, AZ in AZ (Lost);  Bishop Gorman, NV in NV  (Lost)

2019- Punahou, HI in California. (Lost)

Long Beach Poly is 2-4 against those six OOS opponents over a 16 year period.

The Dade and Broward inner city schools are just about the only public schools traveling with any sort of regularity these days. It was a novel, exciting idea for a while. But, public education (and athletics) faces major financial struggles, exacerbated by a mindset who's public face is a worthless fucking bitch named Besty Devos. Traveling long distances (more than a few hours in a bus each way) requiring airfare and/or a stay in a hotel make almost ZERO sense to public schools. In many places, they are all but outlawed by school districts. The only real beneficiaries of teams traveling long distances to play in games are wannabe famous coaches, private schools needing to market their schools to a wider audience and differentiate themselves from public schools, and message board geeks who like to talk trash. Oh, and maybe the occasional entrepreneur looking  for a buck and a little glory.

Bingo!!!!    These California blowhard idiots that have Mater Dei,  St. Johns Bosco and even DLS  "Mr.Johnson" tickling the back of their throats seem to think that every Texas Public school program should be traveling from coast to coast every weekend playing against  (name this Private School) from California, New Jersey, Maryland and Florida.

Corona Centennial stadium seats 2400 on each the home and visitor sides.  Rarely are there any more than a few hundred in the visitor side except against Norco ( only competitive league rival) and Santiago their up the street by 1.5mi rival.   CIF fixes ticket prices at $8gen admission, $5 for seniors, $5 for students, and their are a number of free tickets to family of team members.

Assuming home side sells out and avg ticket price of $6, you’re looking at $72,000 revenue a year plus maybe one home playoff game.  They also have to support softball, baseball, water polo, soccer..etc.   Oh, there’s coaches too.

Pretty tough to travel under those circumstances.

What big name schools in TX have less to work with?

Ohhh.. so the #1 Public School in California over the past 16 years (Centennial) has to work on a pretty tight budget when it comes to things like traveling all over the World to play a damn High school game.

Wow... so do the Texas Public schools.

I didn't say a Texas school has played IMG twice you didn't ask that.

You said... has Texas played IMG twice?

DeSoto HS played IMG

Plano Prestonwood (Private school) played IMG

My Bad, I should have said... “Which Texas Public High School Played IMG 2 Times Like Corona Centennial.”....

Answer = None

End of discussion regarding CC’s Scheduling... They Voulantarily played the #1 Team in the country this year... Which is a Private School...

I think you California blowhard idiots that keep yapping about Texas Public Schools not traveling all over the country to play (Name this Private School) from Coast to Coast.

You should take a good look at your #1 California Public School (Centennial Corona) and ask them why they aren't getting on the plane and traveling to Florida, Maryland, New Jersey and Ohio to play a damn High School football game first!!

Oh ya...  Long Beach Poly over the last 12 seasons has left the State of California twice to go play long distance games in Arizona and Nevada.

Answer the question.  What is the revenue for the top say 25 teams in Texas?  You have huge stadiums and brag about all the attendees.  What are the numbers?  Too big for you to share???

LMAO.... so Texas Public schools that are funded by tax payers should be using the tax system to send (Name Texas Public School) from coast to coast to play High School games.

That's funny GUS!!

I tell you what..  When I see the #1 California Public School over the past 16 years (CEN-10...) getting on a plane and traveling to New Jersey,  Maryland, Florida or Ohio for a football game.      I'll tell Katy HS to do it.  LMFAO
