We got the cannon at Brodie field in Tift County... Surprising that they didn't have an official cannon and just let alumni bring theirs and fire it like that. At least Tift's is official and set up in a safe spot away from spectators and players. Tift has their cannon setup properly NOW. I was at the game at Brodie when they used to have the cannon aimed at the visitor's side. They fired it for no reason...and Coach Mike Singletary's dad had a heart attack. I will say the paramedics acted as quickly as possible and the elder Mr. Singletary was rushed to Tift Regional and everything eventually turned out OK. It was a scary situation...and to Tift's credit...they changed the direction of the cannon shortly after that.
