Peterson a Saint!

The Adrian Peterson-to-the-Saints speculation is no longer that, with the running back telling ESPN's Josina Anderson on Tuesday morning he is signing a two-year deal with the New Orleans Saints. Most of Monday was spent with the expectation that Peterson would end up signing with New Orleans.

The Vikings' first-round pick in 2007 visited with the Saints for the first time back in April , when he was on a free-agency tour around the league, meeting with the Patriots and Seahawks as well .

Years ago the Saints took a beat up Jim Taylor from the Packers...He had a couple years but was not the guy he was the Lombardi Packers.. Peterson has maybe 1-2 years if he doesn't take a beating..

Beilive he only played one season before retiring they also grabbed Paul hornung and Doug Atkins

Not a bad idea but they were all at end of career

Atkins played 3 years and hornung retired before ever playing for the team

Hard to argue with that.

Saints were #1 in total offense last year and #27 in total defense,

Averaged almost 30 points per game and averaged giving up almost 29.....that gets you a 7-9 record with lots of close losses.

A very good ground game can control the clock in the league.  T.O.P. is everything in the league unless you have Brady at qb.

And Danny Abramowicz, WR from Xavier, played for the Saints in the late 60's/early 70's.

Xavier no longer has football, and none of this has any bearing on whether or not Adrian Peterson has a couple more years left to be productive in New Orleans.

No it is stating that the saints have a history picking up players at end of careers

Seeing as though the Saints do not have the same management now that they had when Paul Horning and Jim Taylor were finishing their careers, it means nothing. Especially since every team has picked up players at the end of their careers.

So they basically looked like a Texas high school football team
