TheRealCAJ
Peterson a Saint! The Adrian Peterson-to-the-Saints speculation is no longer that, with the running back telling ESPN's Josina Anderson on Tuesday morning he is signing a two-year deal with the New Orleans Saints. Most of Monday was spent with the expectation that Peterson would end up signing with New Orleans. The Vikings' first-round pick in 2007 visited with the Saints for the first time back in April , when he was on a free-agency tour around the league, meeting with the Patriots and Seahawks as well . TheRealCAJ
Wonder does Peterson have 2 or 3 good years left in the tank if he can stay healthy?
steeler01
The Saints need a defense, not a HB.

Saints were #1 in total offense last year and #27 in total defense, Averaged almost 30 points per game and averaged giving up almost 29.....that gets you a 7-9 record with lots of close losses. Peterson has maybe 1-2 years if he doesn't take a beating.. Beilive he only played one season before retiring they also grabbed Paul hornung and Doug Atkins Not a bad idea but they were all at end of career Atkins played 3 years and hornung retired before ever playing for the team

A very good ground game can control the clock in the league. T.O.P. is everything in the league unless you have Brady at qb.

Depends on how much they use him. 3 years is pushing it with the injuries he's had.

Xavier no longer has football, and none of this has any bearing on whether or not Adrian Peterson has a couple more years left to be productive in New Orleans. No it is stating that the saints have a history picking up players at end of careers

Especially since every team has picked up players at the end of their careers.

You can control the clock all you want, but a bad defense is gonna give up points more frequently per possession
