That is just damn impressive.  How did the 13 come about?

2-OOS FGs

1- TD last week to Holy Cross in the 3rd quarter.

None of it really matters though. Rummel plays John Curtis next week and they average 50 points per game running the veer.

Something has to give.

RedZone,

Last year Rummel gave up 200 points in a 9-3 year......What do you feel are the reasons why their DEf s so much more dominant this year....and do you think that they can shutdown Curtis if they do meet ?

...injuries and maturity.

We returned the entire defense from last year.....you don't see that a lot on any level. I knew the defense would be strong. These guys have been playing together for 3 or 4 years now.

Our kicker was banged up last year too and we sucked at special teams giving teams some short fields. Kicker is back and 100 percent healthy. He's a good one.

Curtis? Man, I don't know. It ain't like we don't know what's coming. Curtis plays 4 quarter football and they just keep coming no matter what the score is. Veer, veer, veer, veer and more veer. We are going to stop it some.

You have to figure John Curtis returned 9 on offense.....that was going to be their strength this year and most everyone knew that here. So far it's played true. Hard to stop them from getting 3 or 4 yards then boom they bust a long one with the Georgia commit at RB or the Army commit at QB. That's what they do.

The Curtis defense has some holes in it, in my opinion......if we can get them off the field.

Honest take...

Rummel was in a 7-3 war with the 716th best team in the country?

BUT, Rummel didn't lose to the #813 team like Carol City, FL.

#813 Edison (Miami, FL) 7 Carol City, FL 6

Who is better?  Rummel or Carol City, FL?

Nevermind, no answer required...

Wins are wins on any level.

This will be an intriguing game with strength vs strength.  I have to think Rummel's D will stop the veer much more than they will get hurt.  They should have the discipline you need against the veer.  13 damn points with only 1 td.

This will be streamed right?

Last year it was Curtis...44-21.......If Rummel can score 21-28 i think that they might have a chance....But Curtis is like a big Elephant coming at you.......You know that it`s coming ...but can you completely stop it ?  probably not........Curtis 35...Rummel 21

Yeah, that game went south in the 3rd quarter.

Curtis was up 15-14 at halftime....35-21 heading into the 4th.

Curtis ain't scoring 35 points on Rummel this year, but they probably win most likely.

We won't score 21-28 on Curtis.

The kicker is there's a 99.9% chance Rummel will face John Curtis twice this year...

Regular season and either the Semifinals and or State Title game..

If they get us this time maybe we learn from it and come up with a better plan.

Rummel beat Curtis twice in 2015.

Curtis beat Rummel twice in 2016

Raiders D is definitely impressive

I'm pretty proud of West Monroe's defense, they have stepped up this year after losing most everybody off last year. We expected the offense to carry us but since Kahmann went down it's really been the D that's winning games. 3 shutouts, and really only Longview has been able to score double digits (17) if you don't count the 7 Neville scored in the final minute on our # 2's

Speaking of QB's, Kahmann and Little were on the WM radio show this week and they Tweeted this pic. Just from an "eye test" it shows you what we lost when he went out for the season

You should be.

I really don't see anyone challenging West Monroe honestly.

Acadiana has the 2 Army RB commits and the speedster playmaker at QB...they could present some problems and they run the veer too.

Hard to stop.....Acadiana put up 82 points last night on Sam Houston which is scary.

Maybe them..
