Interesting list thanks for compiling.. Good Counsel is not a state champion though..

Good Counsel is a  conference champion of 5 teams from MD and DC.. but really considered DC (at least by us Northeast Marylanders) hense Washington Catholic Athletic Association

Maryland State Champions are

1A- Catoctin

2A- Middletown

3A- Damascus

4A-Wise

I figured since it was a playoff and championship that GC plays for I would include it. I know DC isn’t a state, but the playoff bracket for a championship is the 3rd toughest behind GA 7A and Cali Open

Just remember you aren’t the only person who posts here. And no one gives a shit about your Tulane and John Curtis leg humping threads.

He must have some dirt on Prep. Lmao!

This clown dropped an N bomb to a decorated war hero who everyone loves, and the new posts about 10 year old boys and John Curtis players with half cut off shirts.

If that doesn’t get you banned, you got pictures of some higher up here tied up on a hotel bed with an apple in their mouth 😂😂😂

Unfortunately NY doesn’t do a true state championship.  New Ro and Freeport are the top 2 ranked teams in the state and didn’t get to play each other.  The Catholic / Private schools were very down this year and the Publics were strong this year.

How does NY classification work?

Classification goes by enrollment like everywhere else (AA, A, B, C, D -  Class AA being largest enrollment, Class D the smallest).  Problem is there are a lot of different championships awarded, so no real champ.  There is the Long Island public title, the NYC public title, the Catholic School title, the Private School title, and the NYPHSAA (NYS public high school athletic association) state championship.  Too many different winners to determine a true state champion.  For instance this season the 2 highest ranked teams are New Rochelle (NYPHSAA state champions) and Freeport (Long Island champions).  They don’t play each other.  Some years a Catholic school is the highest ranked team and doesn’t get the chance to play the top public.  Some years the NYC winner is the highest ranked but doesn’t get a chance to prove it...etc etc etc.

@Nolebull813 Please go ahead and list the OOS Champs that those four MD publics beat. It should only take you about 10 secs to finish this futile exercise.

These publics don’t do the traveling circus bit. They probably know better than to play some all star team and lose by 40.

No reason to bash them for not putting themselves through that.

There are 16,000 teams and every team does what they feel is best for their program. If they don’t follow your vision that doesn’t make them any less worthy of operating as a typical high school football team.

If you hate the MD and NJ publics then put them on ignore 😂

@Nolebull813  Ask that public school team from Middletown Delaware last year who were the heavy favorites to win states. Their new HC thought it was a good idea to travel down to FLA and play IMG week 7. They were undefeated and rolling towards the championship. Went down there got banged up ,beat up, lost their starting RB and didn't come back the same. Swagger all gone. They lost their final game of season to a conference foe and got bounced first round of the play-offs.. yeah don't think that coach will be doing that again , he is lucky he still has his job..lol  to make matters worse they didn't even get to play at the IMG facilities they had to play at Manatee High.. doh!

Wow did not know that. That’s a damn shame.

Im all for good OOS games. It’s just the garbage blowouts that suck. Some you can’t predict. It happens. But these all star teams playing bad teams and beating them by 40-50 does nothing for anyone. It’s not good for the fans. Not good for the starters. Not good for the coaches. It’s useless.

if teams want to travel and experience another part of the country go for it. But at least find an opponent that won’t beat your head in to the point it’s the only thing that the kids remember for the rest of their lives.

Has there been any discussion or progress made towards fixing this problem?
