One of the dumbest ideas in the history of American politics.  Please let Pelosi do this.  No better way to convince people you are there to play games and not actually work.  This is what happens when you mix millennials and Twitter.

Do u see what they are trying to do

Get trump while now passing everything trump has been asking for so they can go on the campaign trail and say we passed the USMCA we passed the military raise we passed everything while getting trump

And they will convince some people that this is correct

Axios did a focus group in Michigan with Obama/Trump voters.  Found they are now committed Trump voters and are FURIOUS about impeachment.  Game-playing will enrage these people.

Yes I know I posted the article.

The dems are losing Saginaw county which is apparently a very important county in the swing state

And trump is in double digit black support against all major dems

I doubt they are "convincing" anyone of anything. There are clown-sheep that will continue to support the left, but make no mistake, their numbers are dwindling...not getting bigger. 👍

If Pelosi does this, she will be putting her House majority at serious risk.  You do not play games with impeachment.  Even McConnell understands this - he said there will be a Senate trial.  There is a process and you do not try and game the system.  Game-playing makes it clear the whole effort is not serious.  This would be a catastrophic error for the Democrats.

It has to go to the Senate

I would think so. The Senate should just convene the trial, and when the Dems are asked to present their case, (and Pelosi hasn't sent it over), move to dismiss for lack of evidence.

If that can't happen for some reason, I think Bormio is right..."Game-playing makes it clear the whole effort is not serious."

Even more voters will be convinced that the whole thing was a partisan crock of shit.

If you impeach, you have a trial.  The Senate, not the House, runs the trial.  If you don’t want a trial, you don’t impeach.  2 weeks of bad polling on this will correct Pelosi’s attitude quickly.  If not, House Democrats are going to be at war with one another - swing district Democrats have to hate this nonsense.

Now because of this bs the USMCA has been delayed weeks in the senate

This would be another example of the left using Blue Check Twitter to make policy that ends up biting them in the ass. All this move would do is demonstrate to the masses (who are already souring on impeachment in the first place) that the democrats were never really serious about "doing their solemn duty" in the first place.

If Nancy wants to try and salvage any political points out of this whatsoever, submit the articles and make Justin Amash one of the case managers. He can spend a week doing his "principled republican" shtick on the Senate floor...that might turn a head or two.

CNN analyst: 'Massive movement towards' Trump in new 2020 poll

This is massive movement towards the president of the United States, at least in our poll at this particular point," CNN political analyst Harry Enten said on Friday.

While appearing on "New Day," Enten detailed the differences between support for Democrats in October versus support shown in their December polling.

The numbers showed former Vice President Joe Biden with just a five-point lead over Trump, compared to the 10-point lead he had in October. Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., similarly saw his lead over Trump narrow by five points.
