Yea, it is what it is. The offense looked good for Colerain. The defense played well for 3 quarters. Up 17 in the 4th, and a huge missed holding call swung momentum. A trick play Halfback Pass, and a big completed bomb at the 1 yd line with less than a min left and no timeouts, when it appeared Colerain had kept Princeton out of range for a FG.

Momentum hard to get back with no crowd,  and it appeared to me that the Colerain Defenders figured it was "too little, too late" for Princeton and didnt actually think theyd be able to make the comeback until it smacked them in the face

I look at these first 3 games as scrimmages and next week the first week, 2 week season then playoff time. Anything can happen then.

good programs put their players in the right positions come playoff time.

Colerain will do just that😀

Yea, I kinda agree. Colerain hasnt really seemed too worried about stopping the other teams momentum in any of their games and have been trying a lot of different things. A shortened season + everybody making the playoffs will look different for a lot of teams.

As a fan, it feels weird to not be too worried about 2 consecutive home losses when Colerain hasnt done that since 1999....... but the offense has made some great strides in 2-3 weeks, and that was the major concern. The defense had a lapse late in the game with some trick plays and bombs, but they'll be fine.

Credit to Princeton too. Theyre much better on offense than they were last year. Probably better overall too. They have D1 caliber athletes at QB, RB, and WR, and a big OLine. Their QB is really good

Wow you & Coletrain have it close while I see it different like Mentor 31/35-17.

Other than the score I would like to see some statistical wins for the Eagles as they try to close the gap between them and a contender.

Offensively can they sustain a drive? Can the line protect the young QB? Will they throw some quick hitters over the middle? Where is Brady Bostwick?  Is he hurt? Can they use one of the Castleberry's at WR although they will have their hands full on D.

Defensively without Bixby is a big loss. Puts too much pressure on Hankins to play out of position opening up the middle to the short passes.

Hopefully I am wrong but Eagles need to win the LOS and get some turnovers to be competitive in this one.

Win the LOS they did. Kudos to coach Scans once again. If there is one unit we can consistently count on to get better as the year goes on regardless of personnel, it's the o-line. This group has some road graders in Moran and Aden, but is not the typical looking Eagle line with a couple D1 guys on it. They were moving bodies last night, especially late in the game. Once it was apparent that Ramos could not distinguish between gray and white jerseys in the passing game, they were forced to run it on every play with the idea that everywhere on the field was 4 down territory. Enovitch should be getting as many, if not more, touches than Watkins moving forward. Way more speed and homerun potential in the open field. Cook is a nice target at the TE/H position. We should be dialing up more plays for him as defenses will be selling out to stop the run from here on out. He can sell the run block, release, and get open. Hopefully this win can do something for Ramos' confidence. He clearly does not trust himself in the pass game. Those INT's were downright awful.

Defensively the Eagles did a pretty good job. Bottled up the run game. Limited Kipp to a couple good scrambles. Secondary only got beat deep once, and they continue to generate turnovers. Agree with you on Bixby's absence. Completely changes their approach with Hankins. They'll just have to adjust to it.

Last night #3 for Bishop Sycamore showed no signs of rust nearly 2 years after his final high school fooball game in 2018.  The would-be college sophomore had a monster game against the high school kids but his team still fell short to St. Ignatius, losing 33-6.

And apparently his real name is Joshua Bogan. Graduated in 2019 from South Lake High School in Michigan. Not sure if the last name is a media misprint, or if Bishop thinks they're being slick by changing the last name of a 20 year old guy and suiting him up against high schoolers.

It’s Joshua Bogan, but it’s really Lishop Sycamore.

Pretty pissed that we don't play Princeton TBH.

Yea........it would be an interesting game. Princeton's D isnt as good as last year, but their offense is far better. Also they seemed much more composed and less gimmicky/trash talking than last year.  Overall, a better team than last year's Princeton IMO.

West would bottle up the run.....it would come down to if Mekhi Lynn/Princeton could make those big throws and catches. Colerain effectively shut down the run and contained the passing for most of the game.
