Colquitt must be #11?

I will most likely have John Curtis #2 or #3 in my preseason poll....

Curtis could be #1 when they face Grayson though......Curtis opens up with my preseason #1 Landry-Walker (NOLA)-should be a war and tell us a lot about Curtis...

Archer?

They had 1 bad year last year. Dont let that fool you. They were very good from 2013-2015... that 2014 team that played Colquitt in the State Title game was a Top 10 Nationally type team at years end.

They will be back, have no doubt.

I'd take out Brookwood and insert Milton at 10 (assuming their D lives up to expectations).

Then you will have yourself some GOSPEL, as gospely as you can be this early anyways.

There's definitely some hype over Milton...and they got a couple votes...but I think Brookwood will be better in the early running anyways.  We won't know much more mid-August...but perhaps we'll have a decent starting point.

Did they get many transfers in and were they good ones? I am wondering because they went 5-6 with 2 region loses to West and South Forsyth. They graduated 27 and it looks as if that region did not have very good defense. The QB is nice and they have some good receivers.

Most of the rumblings I've heard have been about their defense....BUT...I agree with you about their QB.  I think they will be playoff material...but just like Colquitt...how good will they get?

Archer is done. They are now in the Peachtree Ridge category.

All PTR needs is a HC.

They have talent.

Archer will have talent. They are in a great location for it.

If only that 2015 team had had a QB. Theyd have been even better than 2014.

Archer plays a really difficult schedule... Brookwood, Peachtree Ridge, Mill Creek, Norcross, Roswell, Newton, Grayson, & South Gwinnett.

Im betting they come out of that with 5 wins and finish the regular season 7-3. Which is good with that schedule.

Lime Sink has Archer at 6-4 or possibly 7-3 for the regular season.

They will not be favored to beat Grayson, Mill Creek (even though they very well could) or Brookwood.  They might not beat Norcross.  But all this is simple speculation.  Time will tell.

Drop Colquitt back to at least behind Mill Creek, and move Cartersville out of the top ten and you have a decent looking product there.

Probably only AAAAAA and AAAAAAA in my personal top ten. I'll probably get around to piecing one together eventually so that you guys can tear it down.

I just don't get too into the assembled talent of some of the smaller schools being successful consistently over  teams with either similar or some good talent and more depth.

It's not an unreasonable assumption. The best team they have ever had should not have cracked anyone's top 5 last year.

I just give them the benefit of the doubt....seeing that they've been undefeated for 2 years straight. I just can't write them off after they blanked Westlake last year
