Also the kid put his hands on Mr.Tedesco first, resulting in an open hand slap to Mr.Suazo's face. Now he wants to press charges? Messed up society we live in. Coach probably shouldn't have slapped the kid and will probably lose his job but I doubt anything else comes out of it criminally if the description above is accurate. We may see a civil lawsuit. The baseline is that the coach struck the kid. 18 or not, it was a ward and his guardian and the ward was struck. Everything else is just spice.
