I could have saved 25% loss today, but yesterday I left a bid too high that didn’t execute. Got too cute and backfired. Work hard and invest wisely. @Nolebull813 investing has been the key component for my above average inflation comfort zone… and that’s where I feel the educational system failed all students and yes especially those without generational wealth come to mind. My father taught me after college to start thinking of retirement and introduced me to investing. Had me chat with a financial planner, etc. I had a game plan since the early 90’s. I would defer to someone better in the know about cause/effect of the USD during Inflation peaking vs taming down trending now, but anything usd hedged was cranking until a few months ago. I did well with a Japanese etf focused usd hedged investment this year I Dxj and I sold it as well as UUP remaining shares in mid June with the weak dollar trending line. Emerging market seems to be a nice spot to be in with a weaker USD. GQGPX I’ve owned for awhile and it’s performing well. Solid portfolio mgr. Many hedge funds dealing with world currencies like one that I own in etf form Dbmf, had a superb 2022 gain and a negative performance in 2023, being on the wrong side of both bonds and currencies.
