And then the "legendary" Rusty Hardin accidentally "rested" their case, when he meant to "pass" the witness. By the time he and the #DrunkDade brigade realized what they had done, it was too late. The defense team, and LtGov @DanPatrick, refused to let Hardin the House have a "do-over." That pretty well encapsulates how the prosecution has gone. Zero evidence of anything. The House leadership promised mountains of evidence of actual crimes in late May... and produced NONE, by the admission of their OWN witnesses. Zilch. They all expected Paxton would resign rather than fight to clear his name. The 61 House Democrats who voted for impeachment is one thing.
