Most teams in Georgia have 2 or 3 games remaining in the regular season... and all of them are crucial in determining seeding in each Region for the playoffs...

That said, theres enough known where I can atleast give a pretty confident educated guess on what the playoff brackets will look like come the night of November 11th when the playoffs begin.

Here is my best guess on what the GHSA 7A Playoff Brackets will look like in 3 weeks...

(Putting a teams Region & seed beside their name... for example Region 8s #1 seed will look like (R8-#1), and Region 5s #3 seed will look like (R5-#3)... )

7A Playoff Bracket:

(Upper left quadrant)

(R6-#3) Collins Hill @ (R5-#2) Milton

(R8-#4) South Gwinnett @ (R7-#1) Brookwood

(R2-#3) Newnan @ (R1-#2) Colquitt Co.

(R4-#4) Woodstock @ (R3-#1) McEachern

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

(Lower left quadrant)

(R5-#3) West Forsyth @ (R6-#2) Mill Creek

(R7-#4) Central Gwinnett @ (R8-#1) Archer

(R1-#3) Tift Co. @ (R2-#2) East Coweta

(R3-#4) Hillgrove @ (R4-#1) Walton

=====================

(Upper right quadrant)

(R8-#3) Newton @ (R7-#2) Parkview

(R6-#4) Mountain View @ (R5-#1) South Forsyth

(R4-#3) Lassiter @ (R3-#2) Marietta

(R2-#4) Pebblebrook @ (R1-#1) Lowndes

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

(Lower right quadrant)

(R7-#3) Norcross @ (R8-#2) Grayson

(R5-#4) North Forsyth @ (R6-#1) North Gwinnett

(R3-#3) North Paulding @ (R4-#2) Roswell

(At large) North Cobb @ (R2-#1) Westlake

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

This is possibly the best overall 2nd round games Ive ever seen in our playoffs...

My projected 7A 2nd Round Games:

(Upper Left Quad)

Milton @ Brookwood

Colquitt Co. @ McEachern

(Lower Left Quad)

Mill Creek @ Archer

Tift Co. @ Walton

(Upper Right Quad)

Newton @ South Forsyth

Marietta @ Lowndes

(Lower Right Quad)

Grayson @ North Gwinnett

North Cobb @ Roswell

= = = = = = =

The Quarterfinal Round:

(Left side of bracket)

Colquitt Co. @ Brookwood

Archer vs. Walton (coin toss for home field)

---

(Right side of bracket)

South Forsyth vs. Lowndes (coin toss for home field)

North Cobb @ Grayson

=========

Semifinal Round:

Colquitt Co. @ Archer

Grayson @ Lowndes

....

Ill let yall do the rest!

Multiple possible rematches in finals with that projection

Colquitt vs lowndes (i think they play in a few weeks)

Archer vs Grayson (played last week)

Yeah... seems like the brackets will be spread out nicely... not too many of the best teams all in the same quad...

Walton vs Archer would be a very interesting Quarterfinal game...

Archer/Walton vs Colquitt .... and ... Grayson vs Lowndes would be the perfect semifinal round...

Archer vs Lowndes would be a cool Finals game to see.

Archer bringing the elite D, and Lowndes bringing the elite O...

All I know is... Tift is coming to Moultrie on Friday. It's gonna get real, real fast.

I expect that they'll bring a big crowd because the hype is real and they probably think they owe us one. It's definitely a battle for number 2 and 3 at the least.

If that Defense isn't fixed it'll be bad...

I'm looking forward to seeing how that plays out.  Tift put up 38 against Lowndes but lost. Is Lowndes the GA equivalent to Cen10?  Seems like they score a lot but are vulnerable on D.  Gave up 38 to Parkview as well?

They did give up 38 to Parkview.. but... the score was 57-10 at the end of the 3rd quarter , and Lowndes went deep into the bench on D... Parkview started scoring on the new kids on the block.

If Grayson is mature enough and can win on the road and they can find some type of consistency on offense i think theyll be fine and make it  but the biggest advantage they will have is their Defense and Special teams especially in rounds 3-5

My thing with Archer is are they experienced enough to make a deep playoff run

but ill take Grayson vs Archer in a rematch with Grayson winning

Amigo...you spoke a mouthful.  The Blackhats will hafta play above their heads for the majority of the game.  We'll also hafta come up with some semblance of a passing game.  Mr. Fitzgerald will hafta have a super game.  And...wait for it...wait for it....Coach Hammond will hafta have a lot better game than we've seen thus far.

There is not a single guru with an ounce of sanity that would pick Colquitt to win this game.

Hawgs by 1...on a two point conversion with everything on the line....a la Camden in 2011.

GO YOU HAIRY HAWGS !!!!!

As usual, I couldn't make a good decision on whether to use the "like" or "laugh" reaction for your post. I ended up liking most and chuckling at the "any guru with any sanity" part, because you admittedly lack sanity according to that post.

I went with laugh, because, I like laughing. Keeps a fella feeling happy and young.

Good stuff!
