Nothing will disintegrate European unity faster than a good old-fashioned Franco-German brawl. For for better or worse, we, the USA, structured the post WW2 world order which essentially made us soldier to the world, at least the so called "free world." And what do you tell our multinational corporations domiciled here, regarding our decision to exit the world when they make a significant amount of their sales and profits, sometimes more than half, internationally? This is what liberals want for America and that's why they are so dangerous. Liberals want mass immigration, repeal the 2nd amendment and shut down free speech.
