Why cancel games in Sowega?

The path does not include that area even in the event of a turn.

The metro Atlanta area is in more danger than Sowega.

It's hitting the coastal  Carolinas the hurricane itself isn't a threat to us it's what's coming off of it...

And have you seen the path?

They’re usually just hype

It's that type of thinking that gets people killed...

C1 or C2 yes... You can ride them out and be safe... I won't press you on...

C3 or higher you dont play with...

Katrina was a 3 and many people waited till the last minute  and or did what you did...

And they still haven't fully recovered...

That storm isn't going to have any major impacts on Georgia until Saturday night and into Sunday for extreme north Georgia and late Sunday night for central and south Georgia.

I can see maybe thinking about worrying over the coastal communities that are low and need to evacuate, but all the inland areas should be safe for Friday and Saturday.

Rab is saying the Friday night game in Moultrie has been cancelled.  People are evacuating to Warner Robins.

Rab is good for something after all.

Between announcing evacuations and cranking the handle on that old air raid horn every time he sees a left wing whackadoo, his retirement is more like a job.

How is your hurricane looking now? If your really into weather, and can decipher the bs the media outlets spew... it died down during daylight all day with pressure rising. The monster news painted for clicks is just fear mongering. Yes rainfall can cause major problems, but to watch news outlets still calling it the end of civilization and scattering to call it something else is priceless. Hell weather channel guys keep repeating after the updates keep coming in and downgrading the storm that it’s just still going to be the worse of the worse... click bait. They went from oh it’s going to be cat 4 possibly 5 when it hits, now it’s down to cat 2 and they turn and bring up a new term, it’s going to be a “cat 5 for flooding” 😂 can’t  make this shit up. Hugo in 89 was twice the size as this storm. But but, everyone evacuate and go spend money inland on hotels 😂

They definitely love to sensationalize stories like this.

While it's best to err on the side of caution, especially while looking at a cat 5 storm trekking toward you, once the storm has weakened significantly, they should stop with the bullshit. Everyone that was going to evacuate at this point already has. No reason to sensationalize now.
