Statistically, the '77 Falcons were actually the best defense of all time I believe (ironically). And they made the SEC championship game just to get blown out by LSU. They went 7-7 no playoffs. A great truly elite defense figures out a way to win the games. Ravens did it. In college Alabama did it in 1992. Take North Gwinnett for example. We got a pick six against Lovejoy and still lost because of our offense. But our defense is very good.
