@FootballGuy what football programs are good in the Columbus area of GA?

East Coweta and Newnan are about 45 minutes North of there. Most of the schools in that area are smaller classification schools and the talent is diluted between them. Phenix City is right there. I don't know what they have this year. Maybe Hoover can chime in on that.

Carver Columbus in spite of what Rab said is still a Decent 4A school they do pretty well.

But like Track said... they have alot of schools and the talent gets spread unevenly and Diluted

Carver is the best Football and Basketball school

They have produced some Good NFL players as well

Both Boys and Girls Bball programs are Great

Columbus in general is a Baseball city Though.

The High Schools in Columbus are:

Columbus HS-3A (Baseball school amazing program)

Hardaway HS-4A(OK Baseball,Football suffers)

Carver HS-4A (Explained above)

Kendrick HS-3A(Interesting story I'll explain in a separate post)

Shaw HS-4A(Same as Kendrick)

Northside HS-5A (there's 2 dont confuse them with Northside WR in Warner Robins. They are the 2nd best Football team in Columbus and the Largest School in Columbus they have a Good Baseball program )

Spencer HS-2A (Idk if they're Good in any sport they suffer from a small population and no rezoning benefits. They used to be Good in Basketball)

They'll probably get another HS soon too...

Isn't the Columbus Lions coach a coach at a school in that area as well?

NICE TRY Stinger! ALL Cobumbus schools are open enrollment, to my knowledge! No such thing as a talent famine. And it's hard to be humble when you're Colquitt, who beat the Carver powerhouse, by a cumulative score of 63-0!

A lil factoid about Hardaway, for you Stinger! I realize that you were still a gleam in your old man's eye in 1976 BUT! The Hardaway Hawks took the 1976 National Champion, Warner Robins Demons and James Brooks, to the brink at International City Stadium, before succumbing 35-28! And Kendrick tied Lakeside Dekalb for the State Championship, in 1991.
