Are 7 and 39 correctly listed?

Yes.  In my opinion, if Aquinas and Centennial were to play 10 times, Aquinas would win the majority of those games.   Notice I stated the majority, not all of them.    The game Saturday was one that Centennial would win which they did.   At this time, I do not feel that Centennial is the better of the two teams.   Time may prove me wrong. but as of now that is how I see it.    That is how I evalutate teams, how they would do against others on a ten game basis.    One game has too many variables to determine the best team in most cases.    That is why professional sports play a best of series.    For instance, I do not believe my beloved Twins are better than the Yankees but thought we stood a chance in a one game playoff if certain variables fell our way.   They did not, and we lost but I thought it was our best chance against them.  Also, in this case I moved Centennial from 94 to 39, jumping over many teams that I am not sure they can beat including Gilbert Perry in their own state.    Keep in mind that this poll is a dynamic document whose goal is to move the teams around thoughout the year based on performance to arrive at what I consider the best one hundred teams in the country at the end of the season.    As you know, teams get better and is some cases not as good as the season progresses and I try to reflect that in my polling.   Finally, some would say that moving Aquinas below teams they have beaten, i.e., St. John Bosco, is wrong.    If that were the case, a daisy chain poll would like something no one would be happy with.

Still trying to figure New Jersey out.      The only solid thing I know about the teams is that Don Bosco is really down this season.   Hopefully the next couple of weeks will shake things out and if they continue to win you can be assured that I will try to get them where they belong by seasons end.

From other comments on here it appears that Louisiana posters are not happy with their teams in the rankings.    I will look at my state rankings and see if perhaps some adjustments are due there for that is where I compile my national numbers from.

SPP needs to be higher. Since they only lost by 7 on the road to SJP they need to be somewhere near SJP. Big game for SPP tomorrow night against DPC at home

One reason behind the low ranking for all the New Jersey teams has been their out of state performances.   No doubt SPP played SJP tough but BC loss at MD was a setback for the entire state as I thought they were the state's best team.

BC loss to MD is a setback??? Nobody in their right minds thought that game was gonna be close ever. And when did any NJ poster have BC as the best in the state?? I respect that you do these rankings every week and how hard it is.

I and many others thought that Bergen Catholic was the best team in the state coming into the season.    In fact, my pre-season poll had them in the top 10 in the country. There were not many people who thought that they would beat Mater Dei, but many were surprised at the margin.

Literally nobody in Arizona has had Perry ranked ahead of Centennial at any point this season.  That's because nobody actually believes Perry would win that game.

Then they were simply not paying attention. BC and most NJ teams in that regard at this point in time should never be near top 10. that was the first mistake. I believe a lot of people on this board including myself thought that the MD game could be at least a 40 point gap.

I think we will know how good they are when they play Chandler this weekend.     The win over Highland several weeks ago was impressive from the outside.

I'm going to watch it. Don't believe McD35 has ever been ranked #1 during the season. Might be short lived though.

I was high on the RonEagles coming into the season and mentioned them a couple times here in the preseason.

Nice little team with some really good players.

Vs 2 quality OOS opponents, STA has scored 3 pts in regulation.   I'm not sure STA beats DFB this week.   I'm not sure STA belongs in the top 25 right now... remember DJ complaining about DBP's O in 2011?  What would he rank STA with a loss?  SJB win counts and it was a solid W, but if you are in coin flips in the 4th vs every quality opponent you are bound to take losses and vs better offenses it's likely without O improvement they wouldn't be in 4th qtr coin flips.

Their OL is a mess (3 changes vs SJB and a goose egg) and while Casteel did improve late in the game still 3 pts in 2 games with DFB kryptonite looming.

BC preseason top 10 was fool's gold.

MD played vanilla against everyone but BG and BC and wasn't trying to run it up in all other games in state. They ran the ball mostly in all other games. St brown didn't play against BG .... and parks barely played against BG. Both played against BC. Rollinson tried to run it up against BC and To be honest have no problem with it...

Spp should be higher if SJP at 25. Some polls have sjp in top 10!
