I think we will know how good they are when they play Chandler this weekend.     The win over Highland several weeks ago was impressive from the outside.

Some of us already know how good they are-if Chandler has Conover back and is healthy this will not be a competitive game. Highland hasn't been an impressive win for anyone since 1998.

MD played vanilla against everyone but BG and BC and wasn't trying to run it up in all other games in state. They ran the ball mostly in all other games. St brown didn't play against BG .... and parks barely played against BG. Both played against BC. Rollinson tried to run it up against BC and To be honest have no problem with it...

Spp should be higher if SJP at 25. Some polls have sjp in top 10!

I was at the MD vs BC game and I am not an MD fan.  MD took the foot off the gas pedal late in the first half.  It could have been much worse, partially because of talent discrepancy this year, but also because I think BC became overwhelmed psychologically.  It sometimes happens that way.

Yes.  In my opinion, if Aquinas and Centennial were to play 10 times, Aquinas would win the majority of those games.   Notice I stated the majority, not all of them.    The game Saturday was one that Centennial would win which they did.   At this time, I do not feel that Centennial is the better of the two teams.   Time may prove me wrong. but as of now that is how I see it.    That is how I evalutate teams, how they would do against others on a ten game basis.    One game has too many variables to determine the best team in most cases.    That is why professional sports play a best of series.    For instance, I do not believe my beloved Twins are better than the Yankees but thought we stood a chance in a one game playoff if certain variables fell our way.   They did not, and we lost but I thought it was our best chance against them.  Also, in this case I moved Centennial from 94 to 39, jumping over many teams that I am not sure they can beat including Gilbert Perry in their own state.    Keep in mind that this poll is a dynamic document whose goal is to move the teams around thoughout the year based on performance to arrive at what I consider the best one hundred teams in the country at the end of the season.    As you know, teams get better and is some cases not as good as the season progresses and I try to reflect that in my polling.   Finally, some would say that moving Aquinas below teams they have beaten, i.e., St. John Bosco, is wrong.    If that were the case, a daisy chain poll would like something no one would be happy with.

You have to go by the evidence.

STA is not good. Well... the defense is. The O is atrocious.

F- grade on this poll, but faith you can do better.

Centennial at 39 isnt the bad part btw... STA at 7 is absurd.

SJB at 3 also blows ones mind.

When is Conover coming back?

Chandler is #1 in AZ and Top 15 with that kid.

Have West Monroe 4th in Louisiana and Acadiana 12th.    It seems like each week I do a major reshuffle in that state.

just making sure they are on the radar, both are solid...  they should at least be in the conversation if you're talking a Top 100.

In my opinion (for what it's worth), I think this year is Acadiana's year...  next year look out for West Monroe  ^_^

We understand....There's no clear-cut in 5A Public.

Acadiana has the best resume at the moment (stronger district) with West Monroe right behind them.  St. Amant is looking great in the Baton Rouge area.  Zachary is a quiet sleeper.  Destrehan is going through the motions.  Warren Easton is dangerous NOLA school.

Playoffs will be entertaining that's for sure.

He's back, and Chandler showed why Perry never had any business in any national conversation.

The hype had me fooled enough to have a hope that they could win, so I went with them in the pick 'em.  Where were you at man?! You were supposed to talk me off the ledge on that one.

No one really knew if Conover was going to play until he actually showed up ready to go.  In hindsight I don't think it much matters as Perry's defense was even worse than I had imagined, but hard not to think the absence of Chandler's blue-chip QB would have given the Pumas a shot.

Perry and Pinnacle are identical teams for all intents and purposes-great quarterbacks with solid receivers and...not a whole lot more.  Arizona regardless of class to this point:

1) Centennial-best defense and best win to this point.
2) Chandler-most talented team in the state.
3) Mountain Pointe-back-to-back close wins.
4) Queen Creek-most balanced offense.
5) Pinnacle-only losses to teams 1-3 in the state.

Liberty (Peoria) is looming as an interesting squad-second-highest scoring team in 5A and second-best scoring defense (statistically) in the division and are coming off a 63-13 thrashing of Chaparral.  I don't consider their lone loss as a quality loss (Sunrise Mountain is 6-1 but is a 4A program) but many would argue with me on that; week ten tilt with Centennial looms large.

WHERE is CENT10? And HOW can you rank SFA, American Heritage, and South Pointe so highly, when they haven't been that dominant? And is South Pointe REALLY SIXTY five spots better than crappy lil Buford? They won by SIX!

And although this REALLY hurts me to point out! How in the name of Knute Rockne, do these Northeastern pussies with barely .500 records, warrent a national ranking, when Brookwood is nowhere to be found?
