golfaddict1
I don’t have an SI copy, but I do have one Sport magazine copy (Sept ‘79). 😊 Sweet cover: HOF Dorsett tackled by Toews, with HOF’s Ham and Lambert nearby.

Board games were cool. Been so long. Risk was a good one along with Stratomatic baseball and Monopoly. My grandmother liked to play Ad-lib I think it was called with us when visiting… similar to scrabble. @golfaddict1believe it or not I found myself at Ausiellos bar the other day. 😂. Took your advice. I asked 2 of the bartenders and 3 random guys sitting right next to me who the USA beat for the gold medal. Got 4 Finlands and one Soviet Union, so 80% clip, not terrible. It is a pretty sports themed bar and mostly 49er, Warrior and Giants fans so obviously some smart people 😂.

I think yesterday was the 44th anniversary of the Eruzione winner. Sounds like a cool sports bar.

And some how a young Kirk Herbstreit was able to watch this live, while the rest of the country had to watch it on tape delay? 🤷♂️
