4A Division I State Championship
Kennedale (14-1) vs. Carthage (15-0)

The Breakdown:  Carthage pop: (6,756) 164 Miles away Enrollment 731:   Kennedale pop 7,840        9 miles away: Enrollment 993

Dammit it’s on.  Battle of 3 of the Best RB's in Texas:  3 2,000yd rushers in 1 game:

The Final DFW vs. Beast Texas Matchup and it will break the 1-1 tie.  This game will be loaded with talent including the #1 RB in the whole State of Texas.  Had the pleasure of watching him last week vs. LaVega  Carthage RB Keontay Ingram a Texas Commit with over 35 offers also described as the best pass catching running back in the last decade he has 1,957 yds and 32 TDs and is an absolute great running back, but as I have stated for weeks this class is loaded and as proof this is the 1st time in State History that (3) 2,000 yds rushers yes I said 3 will be in the same game Kennedale features RB Jaden Knowles who leads them with 2,205 yds and 34 scores and his backfield mate D.J. Kirvin enters with eye popping 2,185 yds and 41 tds and scored 5 times on 4A Power Stephenville last week.  This class have produced some great players all over College football right now and this game will produced several more.  Carthage is the defending State Champion and are 5-0 in State Championship games and going for their 6th in a the last 9 years along with LT and Aledo arguably the most dominate team in State over the last decade and they have killer facilities and Coach Surratt is one of the highest paid and best coaches in Texas and they are loaded for bear next year as well according to several I spoke with last week.  At the game last week Carthage had 5 turnovers and won that will not happen if they repeat that against a very athletic and dangerous Kennedale.  Just look at the numbers above on their Running Backs.  Carthage will be the best offense Kennedale has face they are versatile with a good QB and very good WR’s this isn’t WOS’ offense who did beat Kennedale.  Look out for #13 LB for Carthage reminds me of Malik Jefferson @ Texas when I saw him last week his name  Mykel Gates 3* Recruit with good size and great speed he is the MLB watch him.  Kennedale has Tulane Recruit DB Larry Brooks who has 146 tackles 13TFL and 3 interceptions. I could go on and on.  These teams are as talented as the 5A and 6A squads.  I watch a lot of football myself with the old Redskin by my side and I am telling you not what some video or someone who haven’t seen a lick of these teams say.  These are two loaded 4A squads that will give both 5A and 6A teams all they want.  Great players are great regardless of school size and these two are loaded.   These are not small little schools:  Look at the list of playmakers.  I will say this if Kennedale goes with that man-man cover they will have one on one matchups with Carthage receivers Dewaylon Ingram and Dee Bowens and Mekhi Colbert, and everyone that have faced Carthage will attest that is a dangerous game against this extremely skilled and complex offense. Coach Surratt is among the best there is.

Wow, carthage is kinda small, I thought they had a larger enrollment than that.  They are middle of the pack in 4A. Kennedale is pushing 5A

But loaded :D Do my fellow Texans want me to continue these breakdowns:  Or going forward for 5A-6A let someone start a game thread an let it be.  I know for sure Allen vs. LT will be its own thread.  Feedback please.  Was this helpful or too much overload.  Or for a different perspective one of you could do the 5A and 6A breakdowns.  I have seen too much Allen so my bias might peep thru on that one.

Yep, and that's my point, they look and play like a much bigger school.  Goes back to what you and I talked about, imagine combining these schools out east....ridiculous!

i don't think some people know, but 2A power tenaha is basically right down the road from Carthage.

Carthage is like the 4A version of Aledo. They are getting used to winning the title. Hope Kennedale can hang with them.

They are gonna hang.  This game has 3 of the best backs you can see In the State in one game and 2 on one freaking team.  We will know after today who is the best team in 4A.  PG, Carthage, WOS and Kennedale all have an argument and we get to see all 4 back to back.  I am leaning toward HP beating Manvel.  Jerry's grandson is balling out and that kid is very athletic.  Manvel better bring their A-Game.  Watch how big PG is for a 4A team.

I think they will hang, but carthage size will wear them down.

I wanna see that MLB for Carthage hitting those Kennedale Kids.  Look for dreadhead #13 for Carthage that is one physical ass kid going up against 2 physical RB's.  Carthage also finds themselves behind in games as if they get board and then turn it on.  Gilmer is a classic example and others.  Better not do that with this bunch.

Here is a look at Carthage last week.  I was at this game at the Star against a very good and athletic La Vega team.   If you haven't seen them you can get a peep here.  They are as big as most 5A & 6A teams with better athletes than most of those teams.  Ingram wears AP's number but he runs like Erick Dickerson back in the day.

Hmmm....La vega had some success running up the middle.

Yes remember I changed my tune some after halftime.  But again I think Carthage gets bored at times.  Regardless you are not gonna shut those 2 down.  But can Kennedale stop them.  Carthage is a well rounded offense.  Plus WOS is speed speed  and more speed. A lot of that was cut backs inside and gashing them with speed.  Kennedale is not as fast as the RB and QB for La Vega.  A lot of those were the QB breaking containment as well.

You'd have to factor the other 4As in there as well vs GA 2A, pleasant grove and west orange stark.

True... Hapeville Charter was pretty darn good for a 2A. Just about beat the team CalPreps has #3 in Alabama, Thompson.. Lost 21-20. Thompson beat Hoover a few weeks later 32-25.

Beast Texas gonna show out today :D.  Kennedale better respond.  Carthage is a talented ball club. Watch the LB #13 that kid is physical and will fill a hole. They will hit.  Gonna be a good one for sure.  This is the best Offense Kennedale will have faced.  I got no response so going forward I will not do anymore breakdowns.  Will just let the games play out.  Enjoy the games.

That's interesting because people in Texas think unless you are a 5A or 6A school you could not be real good and play against those type teams.  Pretty strange.  I am not of the belief and I watch these teams and players.  Texas has some talented little football teams.  That are as fast and as strong as anyone else.  Hell Newton had a kid that squats 600 lbs and like 4 DIs

Does that count TAPPS?

Also, the split division make it that Texas definitely doesn't have the best playoff system.

What does this have to do with Hapevill Charter being "darn good"?

You always do this and it's always silly.
